I think you way overvalue picks.
Here are some "great" first picks over the last 20 years...
    Markellee Fultz
    Deandre Ayton
    Anthony Bennett
    Greg Oden
    Kwame Brown
    Michael Olowokandi
    Andrea Bargnani
    Andrew Bogut
    Kenyon Martin

...and those are just the bad picks. Further even if you do get lucky you usually have to wait for years for the good ones to contribute. Once they DO contribute they must be willing to stay and not get picked up by teams like the Lakers. Tanking is much more likely to land a team in perpetual hell where your team sucks for years and even decades until you get very lucky.

I would take what DM did over that any time.

Remember we got TWO consecutive #1 picks, 83 and 84. #1 pick Sampson fell to the injury bug and even then we literally didn't win a championship for a decade.

Best avenue is to build the team through assets and trades via calculated risk/reward.

I think as the annual salary cap grows, a good chunk of contracts seem to even out.

Yeah its barren. Max cap space back to being useful in two years when Oladipo is not the top free agent. Still, having room is important.

First, we heard that Gordon's trade interests were up. Now this. Stone must have stolen Tilman's bank account password to pay those reporters to put these things out.

This must explain why KPJ is running point in the G League. The FO must have known by then that Wall has a market and that they're going to try to move him.

I hope we send them all to Miami to make Daryl and Harden have a tougher road to the finals.

Miami fans don't seem to think this is legit because of the salary and the number of guys they'd have to send out. They make a good point. I won't let them crush my hopes and dreams though lol. They need to make a move in order to compete with the big boys and a guy like Wall is a needle mover and is available. Some of the other guys they want are just pipe dreams.

What assets do we currently have right now that is positive. Wood and Tate.

You can't expect to turn a pile of crap we have right now into anything with trades no matter how much risk you take.

Morey has always wanted to tank after Yao, Les didn't let him.

There's only two ways of getting a super star, be a free agent destination like LA, or draft your own.

I don't know what any of this have to do with getting a pick in the WB trade.

Miami fans are delusional. Most obnoxious fan base on Twitter and it’s not close. They thought Herro was untouchable for Harden. I’m not sure what’s true and what’s not but it makes sense. Wall is putting up big numbers and looks pretty good.

If Pat Riley trades for John Wall.

The Rockets should retire Pat Riley Number in the Rafters. He is a Former Rockets Player.

Stone needs to record every convo with Pat Riley and if there's any resemblance of an agreement, sue if they renege...

    I want to believe...

I don’t dislike Wall, just the contract. Would love to rebuild without that contract on the books.

I’d even throw in the Blazers 1st to dump him so I never have to watch him play again for us.

Lol the Heat formed one of the best Big 3s earlier last decade.

Harden joining the Nets won't be changing anything.

Lebron paved the way for these super friends teams.

The failure against Dirk and the Mavs would be noteworthy here.

That’s actually a good deal creates a free agent max slot for next season and still have a lotto pick. Rebuild around Wood and trade Oladipo to New York for Mitch Robinson and fillers
