Totally weird I watched a movie today starring him as a heroin addict (Candy) and then a few hours later he dies of a drug overdose. Creepy!

My mouth dropped when I saw the headline.......definitely one of my favs (I think I even mentioned it in some thread within the past few days.......admitting I thought Brokeback was a good movie).

Can't believe it..........I thought he had one helluva career in front of him--guess I was wrong.

Yea. I also read how his sleeping pattern was all screwed up and he had tried taking sleeping pills. It's entirely possible he was taking them as intended and just had a bad reaction somehow.

R.I.P. -Just as he was really going to take off by leaps and bounds on a summer mega-blockbuster. :(

Please answer with spoiler tags if so... but, does anyone know if the Joker dies in the movie? Definite spoiler... but man, It's gonna be strange watching the movie now either way.

^not a spoiler exactly, but please respond in kind (question about Batman movie ending).

So... you're NO LONGER looking forward to his Joker portrayal? :p

His "Joker" role didn't kill him. He was filming another movie after that and was in its beginning stages.

Holy Cow I think this hit everyone hard! I never particularly payed much attention nor liked his movies much, but Batman was supposed to be that chance to change it.

If he did die from the sleeping pills.. maybe they should start regulating them. I have a close friend who's kinda hooked on those too and now I'm a little worried.

This is a shock to say the least.....so young and defintely a fine actor.

It's also getting a little crazy with so many going lately.

    RIP Heath

The worst thing about this is you just know that someone over at Warner Bros. is wringing their hands together thinking about how much this will help the new Batman movie.

    Scumbag marketers !

He and Peter Boyle were by far the best performers in "Monsters Ball".
