with what kobe did against the suns last playoffs, i'd bet Suns are more scared of him than Nuggets even after this beatdown.
This suns team wont win the title if they dont defend and hope to out-shoot the opponents in every game.
Well, they have played well for the past week (4 straight wins), if they get it together it'll be interesting in the West's playoff games.
Yeah, I forgot about the lakers. I think it was denver that put it on their asses too. Still, Phoenix and their "MVP" are looking pretty bad right now.
The Nuggets have zero chance to beat the Suns in a series. The Lakers, with a full roster, have a small chance. That is why I want them to play the Suns.
Let's not forget that Denver took out Seattle for us as an 8 seed during one of our two championship seasons...could it happen again?
I completely disagree with you there. Denver is more fit to battle the Suns in a seven game series, win or lose. Lakers would be second on my list, though, as a first round opponent just because they matchup well with them and they know how to counter many of their strengths.
When your team plays next to no defense and has very a little presence inside the paint, any team can beat you. Like most experts say the game is never over with when you play the Suns, because they let you back into the game, because of their piss poor defense.
Are you kidding me? "Any team" can beat the Suns in a 7 game series? What a joke! I wonder if you would have said this after the Suns/Mavs game. Don't let two bad games throw you off. The Suns also play better defense now than in the past, just ask the Rockets. The Nuggets would definitely lose to the Suns because they play right into their strengths. Trying to beat the Suns playing their own game is just foolish. It seems the Suns loss to Denver has really dropped them down the totem pole on the forum. It's funny to watch how things ebb and flow here based on one game.
Disagree (obviously). We consistently play Phoenix hard. They force us to play the type of game that best suits us. The odds of us beating Phoenix in the playoffs is only around 5%, but I'd put that above the Lakers who look AWFUL right now. The Nuggets are easily the most frustrating franchise in the NBA. I could see us beating ANYONE on any given night. I could also see us losing to anyone on any given night.
I'll accept 5% against the Suns; there's a reason you play the games. My point with the Lakers is they finally have their full roster and could present a problem if Luke Walton returns to form and their tough defense comes back from the dead. It's unlikely, but possible. On the frustration scale, only the Bulls give you guys a run for the money. It must be difficult to be a hard core fan of either team. My brother is to the point of throwing his arms up in the air on Bulls.
stupidest thing i ever heard... Boris Diaw, Shawn Marion and Stoudemire... that trio is easily the best, atheletic, versitle frontcourt in the whole league, "very little presence"...
How many pts. does phoenix give up inside the paint? Look how many teams give up less pts. than the Suns? Then, look at the teams actually do give up more points than the Suns and see where they are in the playoff picture. See how many rebounds they allow a game, it's almost at the bottom of the league? that trio is easily the best, atheletic, versitle frontcourt in the whole league, "very little presence".... Maybe the most athletic, versatile is a push, Inside the paint...their are not great team . I'll give their ok on offense, But, their front-court defense is horrible. That's how Denver and Detroit destroyed them the last few games. Because, they can get to basket rather easily against Phoenix and the Suns are a terrible rebounding team. These are things good front courts should be great inside scoring, as well as good inside defense, and rebounding. Marion and Diaw are great shooters, but neither are hardly post players. And when have they ever help shut down the paint. Amare is really the only post player they have. But he is only great on offense and he has trouble when Nash can get him the ball or is absent. And his defense is very suspect, like other Suns player. Their are some front courts out there who are either comprable or better than the Suns. Nuggets - Camby , Nene, and Melo - whenever K-Mart cames back from injury. They average more points than the Suns front 3, and with exception of Melo, the other two are much better defenders. Detroit - Wallace, Webber, and Prince or Wallace, McDyess, and Prince, this is one of the best front-court with the Mavs and Jazz, with good scoring, good rebounding, and great defense. The Pistons front three are much more balanced than the Suns. Cavs - This might be stretching, but their are good frontcourt mostly because Lebron James. But Big Z and Gooden are not scrubs and play pretty good defense. That just shut down the Jazz the other night and defend any other opposing big in the league. Bulls - With Ben Wallace, Kirk Hinrich, and P.J. Brown Mavs - Diop (or Dampier) with Nowitzki and Howard - this is another great front court with the centers who play adquate defense/good rebounders and great defending small foward. Jazz- Boozer, Okur, and A-47, that's another great front court. One final point isn't ironic that some of these teams are the ones who give the Suns a lot fits.
