Hard for a dead man to take credit for something.

How are they ever going to stop this? One or more people who may or may not be driving a white van. Noone is even sure a white van is involved or maybe it is just coincidental. They can't mobilize fast enough to establish a perimeter and check points around the crime scene. I seriously doubt they have anything concrete to go on. If a tarrot card is all they have to go on, then this going to be a long list of victims. What if these people decide to move to other states?

This is insane. They should have a public execution with victims' families doing the stoning if they ever catch this guy. Now I understand a need for public executions.

The guy will make a misake. Most killers let their ego get the best of them. Almost the attitude of anthlete, they begin to feel unstoppable. That is when they make a mistake.
Granted too many people have lost thier lives but he/they will be caught.
Just pray it is sooner rahter than later.

not to beat this into the ground, but i have no legal background and i know others around here do... so:

let's just say for argument's sake that the police did have some sort of evidence that made them believe an incident was to occur at the Redskins game. No hardcore evidence, but a strong suspcion, perhaps based on a pattern of the killings? what exactly is their duty? do they have the authority to force the NFL to cancel the game? do they only put extra security and allow the game to continue. can they legally keep it quiet (in order to protect the case, just like how the man in charge of the case is upset that the tarot card info got released to the media)???

these may be dumb questions, but i'm curious.

I have a legal background, but no knowledge of Maryland law and I have not researched the topic. I would think that the police have no duty to tell the media or anybody else details about any threats or suspicions. They could force the game to be cancelledbut I think it would require martial law to be declared or the government closing the facility. Just an educated guess though.
