Every few years this discussion starts up after a bad season - next year when movies are making record profits people will ask if Netflix is killing TV profits.

Looking toward the fall, the only movie I wanna see is Blade Runner. May see this in the theater. Can't think of anything else this fall

Not many good movies- Logan, Get Out, Dunkirk, Monkey War,. Split and John Wick.

E: Of these movies I would really only want to see Dunkirk maybe McMonkey at the theater.

Add me to the list of people who find streaming too cheap & easy to find something entertaining at home compared going to movies. And if a series, entertaining for much longer. Too much random great stuff out there I'd never heard of before. Even the less popular cable networks I'd never watched or heard of before are pumping out some obscure shows I really like.

There are still good movies, just make it a point to watch them at home when I can.

Been saying it. Summer movies ain't what it used to be. Hell, better tv programming and streaming than going to my local theaters, lol.

Think this is a bad summer year. Other options will slow theatre industry, but not this much. I think rotten tomatoes has hurt some movies, too.

Marvel and Star Wars seem to be only things drawing me to the theatres last few years. New original stuff has been very bland in my opinion. There haven't been many rom coms that my wife has been interested.

Game of Thrones broke all kinds records for viewers and subscriptions for a premium cable channel. So that's where your money went, Hollywood.
