Can you imagine if Morey didn't care so much about a coach being his b**** and he would've offered Hollins the HC job?? This guy would've known what to do with Howard, these egos who are worried about touches and Josh Smith.
Oh and its nice you decided to start a thread to complain about Mchale, its not like you litter every thread with your non stop Mchale hate.
Hollins personality wouldnt fit with the laid back type of atmosphere of this team. Hollins has the military style type of personality. Howard wouldnt want to play for him.
The NETS are under .500% with Hollins. The Grizzlies have not skipped a beat without him and are winning at a clip better than they ever did with Hollins. The mystique surrounding him is just odd.
This has nothing to do with Hollins. This is about how the OP will use any opportunity to bash Mchale. So he doesnt care about how well Hollins is actually coaching.
not just hollins, it wont be too difficult to find 15,20 better coaches in this league, why murray committed to mchale b4 playoffs is beyond me, maybe was becuase of "fit", that hes obedient to master murray, i can think none else
Brooklyn is 14-16 in the East and Hollins made a move that so far has resulted in no improvement from the team production-wise yet you're hailing this coach as superior to a guy that already has 20 wins in the Western Conference? It's great that he has the strength of his convictions to bench his starters but how is this evidence that he is a better coach than Kevin McHale?
Let's see now. Williams starts & shoots 39.9%, but off the bench, he's 30.7%(4-13). Lopez starts & shoots 48%, but off the bench, shoots 41.1%(7-17). How's that helping out the Nets?!? If Hollins really knew how to coach, the box score would look like this: Williams dnp OLD Lopez dnp OLD
