    No , it was due to salary cap issues - Because Clemons contract became guaranteed they no longer had a choice between Green and Clemons - They were stuck with Clemons and don't have cap space remaining to accommodate Green's contract.

    Had Clemons not been injured they likely would have cut him instead of Green.
