Its really hard to separate Kerr from Curry, Mike Brown from Lebron, Jackson from the Bulls, etc. NBA fans get blinded by "RINGZ". Don't want to hire Luke Walton fresh off a 4 all star team.

For what it's worth they talk about how Carlisle is a dick and is a great playoff coach but can't keep a lockerroom happy.

They mention Kerr as getting a boost this year from Kenny Atkinson. I was on board the Atkinson train after MDA. I'm down.

I think Silas sucks - but I am HOPING that he is executing on a bigger plan.

I worry that the team lacks a cohesive vision...though.

I cannot say he outright sucks
Esp when Bickerstaff is all of a sudden a Coach of the year candidate
Sometimes. . . .the Talent dictates the coaches ability

Take note, all! When you say reductionist nonsense, it makes you sound smart... as long as you do it as a sarcastic one-liner.

I mean I would not overrate that.....Silas also got one of the worst assistant coaching staffs....no dissing John Lucas but the Xs and Os.....hmmm

I am guessing half of the coaching staff consists of developers of rookies so no biggie.

Dun you worry, the FO lacks a clear vision.

Maybe Green and Chet are wet dreams, highlights of the foreseeable future.

    Championship, here they stop.

exactly. and hollinger & Duncan even mentioned that fit is as important to coaching success as is with player success on a team. we hired Silas to coach harden and a vet team. he may not be the best fit for a rebuilding team. that doesn't mean he sucks. he has other strengths and maybe managing and developing kids isn't one of them.

sure, the rookies all got better from the start of the season. that's what 19 year olds do when you mix talent, work ethic, and any nba coaching/experience. but did Silas make the right call in removing sengun and Christopher from the rotation at parts of the season? or making Jalen stand in the corner most games? maybe they really weren't ready for more, we'll never know, but it always looked like they were.

might as well roll silas back unless some amazing candidate comes available. continuity is good for youth.

we can fire him next summer when we actually have expectations.

Silas is an elite coach. People complain, but he is one of the greatest coaches in Rockets history right next to Don Chaney. I’ll never watch another game if they do him wrong and fire him (like they did Chaney and then hired that overrated guy named Tomjanovich or something). Silas has a legitimate shot at 20 wins next year and you can’t deny the improvement each and every season with his record!!! Please just ignore those two deadbeat writers as they know not of what they speak.

he has a plenty of talent and a lot of times he decides its best to bench it in favor of scrubs, or assign an improper role for the talent eg sets up steph curry with a lot of postup opportunities, makes him a rim protector, and allows him to shot only one 3 per game...

silas is the devil and he fools people so easily
