I can agree with most of the guys Hollinger put on his list BUT Ryan freaking Anderson and Bud??? Both of them over Lowry and Derozan... I wish Bud would become a star this season too but watching all his games as a Rockets, I'd bet my house and everything I got that he wouldn't breakout into stardom this yr, or ever. He is just way to inconsistent with his shot. Bud being Adelman's pet and him being gone now, I don't think he'll even come close to replicating his 14.4 ppg after the All-Star break. But Hollinger is absolutely right about this though.

Something has to give sooner than later. Either Kevin Martin has to get traded(hopefully for young talent) or Twill starts and Bud comes off the bench. I prefer the former...

I honestly feel Morris and T-Will have a much better chance of breaking out than Budinger does. He is simply too passive on both ends of the court. He does a good job about playing within and staying within the system, but his mentality is pure p***y. This does not make for a star player, but an eventual role player. Unfortunately for him, he still continues to toss up bricks at a steady pace.

Trade Kmart for future draft picks, start CLee and let TWill back up Bud and him...for a 3 man SF/SG rotation.

Do not sleep on Ryan Anderson one bit. Just because he doesn't look the part doesn't mean that he won't cause a lot of PFs fits. Guy has a killer outside shot, long arms and could be an excellent rebounder. I see him averaging about 16-9...shooting 40 percent from 3-land. If or when Howard is traded that could go up to 18-10...very Scolaish with extended range.

Well, if you believe Bud is the better defender than TWill, then we would expect you to get upset that McHale sat down Bud when Van Gundy moved Turk to the 4...instead of putting Hill, then TWill on him.

I guess that didn't upset you.

I can definitely see that but if they make a trade for say, Bymum & Gasol, he would most definitly be moved to the bench and lose all those minutes he's earned and awarded by playing well from the outside off of Dwight's play down low.

But besides Dwight gobbling up all the rebounds he has a good average, especially for being a perimeter oriented player on offense.

My main problem with C-bud is as DD will put it C'bud's more of a "backseat kind of guy". In terms of skillset yes he does have everything needed to become a star, but he's too passive on the court to ever be more than a backup/average starter. He doesn't need to demand the ball on every possession, but he needs to be a game changer on every play like Kyle Lowry. As it is I think Morris or T-will will be taking his starting slot sometime soon.

BTW my pick for break out star: Kyle Lowry. He did kind of break out last season, however most people think of him as scrappy more than anything else. I think after this season though, people will think of Lowry as all-star caliber.

LOL seriously Chase Budinger to to a breakout star... You have got to be kidding me.

Oh yeah lets compare Kobe's rookie stats to C-Buds rookie stats.

It will be interesting to see who continues improving more between Ty Lawson and Lowry. I'm thinking the pure stats will favor Lawson but Lowry will crush him face to face.

    GO LOWRY

I really don't understand the hate for Bud on this board. The guy is a potentially better Mike Miller if he develops. That's a solid starter in the league. He is not as bad as people make him to be on defense either.

Nah, they got to figure out what we already know. A lot of us know the roster and players better than they do because we have been following them for longer.

Sheeple prefer to pick the company line rather than think for themselves.

It is the myth of his as a bad defender, when he has made significant strides, enough to where he is at least an average defender.

But folks only remember his rookie year, and fail to recognize growth, because most people are lazy or don't care enough to figure it out on their own.

When you say "Nah" were you answering my question about "I guess Mchale didn't upset you [when he took out Bud to have TWill guard Turk in the 4th]"

So you aren't upset about that decision. You are only upset about Thabeet being inactive, but not about McHale benching Bud in the 4th for defensive reasons. So that means you that you are willing to have patience with the coaching staff to see if they have a better plan versus us to warrant their huge salaries.

Can I quote you on that?

Good for you DaDakota. You are making progress.

You can do whatever your feeble weak mind wants to do, I don't give a ****.

The two are not even remotely related....but I don't expect your obtuseness to get it.

You said "Nah" I just want to know what question you were answering. I asked if you were upset that McHale benched Bud. You replied "Nah." Are you not upset that McHale benched Bud in the 4th to have TWill guard Turk.

Just please explain what your "Nah" meant.

GUYS! Budinger is obviously the problem on this team....he is white and doesn't play lock down D, since apparently every other starter in the league at SF is now a Bruce Bowen.

He definitely isn't a 23yr old guy to watch and hope grows as a player, he just needs to GTFO.

Bud and others will break out when (if, sigh) a stud is landed (Amare?). Give these good players a great one to play off and watch the play offs land in the ToyShop. 'Til then? Meh.
