I heard this on 610 today... it had me in tears... I had to share.. So apparently Dan LeBatard, sportswriter for the Miami Herald, challenged Florida Panthers play-by-play announcer, Randy Moller, to shout a certain famous movie quote after the Panthers scored a goal. It was such a hit with the fans that it became a tradition to shout random movie, song, and television quotes. Even if you don't like hockey, these are truly hilarious. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/C3b_7S-sGBo&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/C3b_7S-sGBo&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/JS8z0QZzazw&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/JS8z0QZzazw&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> I'd love to see Vandermeer adopt some kind of nutty tradition like that.
Ron Wolfley of the Arizona Cardinals also blurts out weird, random ****. He was fun listening to during their playoff run. LARRY FITZGERALD! JAPANESE FIGHTING FISH!
I think I remember hearing that one time... I thought I was crazy "Touchdown Kurt Warner!! Blueberry pancakes!!"
Ever since Brett Dolan and Dave Raymond started doing Astros broadcasts, somebody has been feeding Milo names like David Puddy and Dwight Schrute whenever he's announcing people celebrating their birthdays at the game. I've also heard him welcome groups like Ned Flanders and Associates when he's announcing the groups that are at the game.
Seriously no discussion? Mediocre episode but I guess they're focusing on some actual storyline. I did chuckle at quite a bit but its a plot focused episode so we'll see where it lands.
That's the one that got me. Also, for some reason, the Careless Whisper reference cracked me up, too. But I'll give him props for bringing back Kool Moe Dee. That's old school, my friends.
