If he was so right about Tracy, why didn't he take Indy's offer of Jackson and Artest? DD, I really don't understand your obsession with Tracy really. Last year, you created threads asking if was faking it. This year you said he didn't trust his teammates to run the offense when it was apparent he was injured. I can guarantee you that training for the season is much different than working out. We've had this discussion before. Yet people praise Kobe, and I'm a Kobe fañwhen he didn't want to play with Bynum, threw Kupchak under the bus and until the fleeced Memphis was a 1 and done and blew a 3-1 lead. Look, what ever is best for the rockets to succeed, but all this stuff about tracy on a daily basis is ridiculous. He wasn't moving because his knee was hurting just like shane was sucking cause he had a bad ankle. BTW, this is the 2nd time this quote was in a thread.
Because they are both knuckleheads and he was trying to build a team of winners. I don't think I ever created any such threads...Leeb....but I do believe he was exagerating, and think him doing microfracture over aggressive rehab was a choice.... I think Tmac is a $21 million dollar anchor and a loser.....and want him off the Rockets. He wasn't moving last year either....he doesn't want to change his style. It is nice to see you finally admit that Battier is a good player though, it shows growth potential for ya. Keep on truckin ! DD
That was a rhetorical question that I asked. That's great news for Cat, but my original point was that the Magic got NOTHING out of that trade. I guess Magic/Weisbrod fans can say addition by subtraction, but the Francis era for the Rockets ran it's course.
exactly. imagine we traded him (instead of having extended him) right after the dallas series... oh well, hindsight now...
Well, whatever is true or not...T-mac has a long time to think about things and his future. His history of failures, of bad press, and injuries have to weigh heavily on the guy...and to see a team move on without him, indeed, and organization and fan base, has to give him pause. I don't think we've seen the last of the guy. Maybe as a Rocket, but even that is too early to tell. The man wants to be loved - he's use to it. Nothing more would please him then to return to a team that was very good but still NEEDED him to get over the top. Will that happen? Probably not. But in any case, no one will know for about 8 months at least what will happen. T-mac truly is an enigma.
DD, Battier is still a bench player, nothing has changed. He still doesn't make enough plays based on compensation given up. Last year you did ask if tracy was faking the knee injury. Maybe Sam Fisher will pull it up, but you did and I called you out on it. Weisbord turned down better offers from the east because he didn't want to face tracy. Artest and Jackson were better players and its not like Francis didn't have history. We know Cato was a slug and he traded Cat for Lionel Ritchie part 2. Bottomline is, Tracy is always a rod for criticism on the board. A lot of people don't like him because he has the poker face. A lot of people don't like him cause he misses games and make 21m. Some people just don't like him because they don't even like themselves. I just think it would be better to enjoy the ride like last year and stop creating threads about a gm that's not even in basketball. People were asking questions if the rox were a better team last year minus Yao. I said they weren't eventhough they were winning regular season games. The team is winning, I don't think they'll win a ring this year, but its fun watching the young guys getting better.
http://www.projo.com/uri/content/projo_20090214_uri_journal.17837063.html Mobley hasn't officially retired. The Knicks haven't waived him (he has another year left on his contract) and supposedly tried to move him at the trade deadline.
Don't know if I'd go that far, I posses three of the four and I'd probably still take Tracey over myself when starting a basketball team FATER!
