What an unfortunate time to flood. http://news.yahoo.com/s/space/20060804/sc_space/natureswraththemostdangeroususcities
how in the world is LA below us?? yeah..we could get hit by a hurricane. for sure. that sucks. LA could be in the ocean!!!!!!!! the disaster of living in Milwaukee is that you live in Milwaukee.
Cool, I have always wondered if I found myself alone on the planet where the safest place to go would be.
Trying to understand this list... does it mean Miami is the most dangerous city in the US and Mesa is the LEAST dangerous city, in terms of natural disasters? That wold mean LA is more dangerous than Houston right? What about the cities in the 20 somethings? Average?
Wayne Campbell: So, do you come to Milwaukee often? Alice Cooper: Well, I'm a regular visitor here, but Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors. The French missionaries and explorers began visiting here in the late 16th century. . Pete: Hey, isn't "Milwaukee" an Indian name? Alice Cooper: Yes, Pete, it is. In fact , it's pronounced "mill-e-wah-que" which is Algonquin for "the good land." Wayne Campbell: I was not aware of that.
Well it would be logical to assume that the list was consistent with the article's title. Had me at first also. So #3 safest is presently at the mercy of a precarious Mexican dam.
I got sick of the flooding in Houston. I got sick of the twisters and hail in St. Louis. So I moved to Tucson, tied with Old El Paso at #3.
Well I am hear to make you feel worse again, but Miami, New Orleans, Bay Area at the bottom...........should have been clue #1........
There's been about $250million worth of damage to the city already, and there's more rain in the forecast... Hopefully this is where RA has been and why he hasn't been here in four days.
As long as you live on the west side of town, up in the hills, you are safe from the rain and floods.
I don't understand how a city so high in elevation could be flooded. I also don't understand this here: 43. Houston, TX 44. - 48 . 49. New Orleans, LA Are the list makers putting NO so far down because they've already been through the worst?
El Paso is my least favorite place to go on business. That town is as dead and boring as a doornail. At least there is one good thing about it.
