According to who? Hakeem Olajuwon himself? Exactly. I love the guy, I had his poster on my wall, and wished he was my father. But that doesn't change the fact that he's an eccentric Muslim with a lot of money. Not to mention that he now lives in Jordan and used to openly criticize American policies. He even used to talk about how he looked forward to retiring so that he could move out of the US and to Canada, and even expedited that with the Raptors saga. This has been thoroughly argued over before so there's no real reason to rehash it.

It may or may not have been discussed on this website. But I know people who know or knew Hakeem and that is what they had to say after the terrorist news came out. Basically, he's a great guy and it's hard to believe, but it's very plausible that he knew full well who he was supporting. Secondly, do me a favor Skillz, or actually all of the Clutchfans community. Start a new thread titled "Clutchfans Demographics" with a poll and options "White, Black, Mexican/Hispanic, Asian, Other" and see what kind of results we get. In the 80's the majority of Rockets fans were either black or white. During the championship runs, that was still the case with a smattering of Hispanic and Asian fans. Currently, I'd wager to say that whites are now in the minority.
