Because nothing is being injected inside a man. The virus can basically enter the urethra on the male and that's it unless there are some open sores/cuts on the shaft or surrounding areas. Add to the fact that when the male is doing the deed he has fluids flowing down and out of him it just makes it that much more difficult.

 

By getting tested every 6 months, you can treat positive results before it progresses and stop the spread of the disease if you have it. I would say get tested every 3 months if your extremely promiscuous and 6 months if you have sex with multiple partners.
