This is why I tell kids not to do DRUGS.
not cause they will overdose or help ruin the society..

its cause it could screw up a championship team like what could have been with Mitch Wiggins and Lewis Lloyd!!!!

Thats why league developed economiclly over the years, and started to be a real deal.
I'm sure if on of those players played in today's NBA they'd have larger salary.
Stupid thing to put on, It has nothing with this thread.

Tracy McGrady advancing in the first round of the play-offs wont be because he grew up. It will be because for once in his career, at least in a closeout game, his teammates decided to show up.

Tracy Mcgrady's performance, in close out games, have been far from spectacular.

This happens alot but you can't tell really that Wizards are playin' better without Agent Zero or Rockets playing without their most talented player,Tracy McGrady.

Injuries happen, Rockets need T-Mac, just like they need Yao.

Can team without one superstar be worse than team with two superstars?!

Remember Kobe being shopped last summer?

Well, this isn't near that but Kobe didn't go!

What makes you think that GM will sell pillar of this team, best player, on of the best players in the league and best scorers in the game?

Hmm, 29 pts, 13 assists in game 7 vs Utah not spectacular? IF the Rockets get a rebound or Okur stays cold in Toyota Center Rockets advance to play the Warriors. The same stat line would be called an MVP performance in a close out game.

Lets not forget game 7 against Dallas where anyone not named T-Mac or Yao forgot to show up.

I did not watch his games in Orlando.

Mac's performance in Jazz game was very good but he failed to deliver in the closing minutes and settled for jumpers. During those closing moments, its not Juwan Howard or Rafer's time to make plays. Tracy McGrady had to deliver. That's what superstars do.

His game 7 performance against Dallas was not good. He had poor shooting % and his choice of ill advised shots and long jumpers early on had put the team in a hole.

His game 7 performance against Pistons was downright terrible. In fact 4 of his teammates shot better than 50% and his FG% was worse than 30% for the game.

His Game 4 performance against Hornet was excellent.

So, over all its a mixed bag. You cannnot put it all on his teammates and deny that he has something to do with his own failure. Remember, some of these close out games were on his own home court, and the fact that he got to close out games and in some cases down the wire, means he had enough to get there, but could not finish it off.

FYI, I have been a fan of Tmac's game since his Magic days. I am still a fan of Tmac, but I am not going to deny his obvious shortcomings. He frustrates me a lot but I still want him to succeed.

I don't want to trade T-mac right now, but I no longer consider him untradeable. All these years it dawned on me no team will ever win a ring with a leader who slacked off a whole year and let his team lost 19 in a row. That shows a serious lack of pride and competitiveness. So unless T-Mac shows that he's got heart, I don't want him to be the leader and build around him. If he doesn't stop being a lazy chucker and start playing hard every night, I have no problem with the Rockets trading him.
