No great scoring presence inside, but Laimbeer and Rodman were both good rebounders and defenders. Laimbeer could also hit the outside shot consistently.
You don't remember Rodman and Lambeeire (Sp?). You can't seriously be trying to compare Cato and Taylor/Kt/Griffin to them. They won when they finally got some good, tough interior play and defense.
Taking it a step further.... Bill Cartwright (who appears to have some bball smarts) and Horace Grant (still in the league, still productive) were not exactly "chopped liver".
