In your fantasy world, I'm sure that everyone now believes that the Arabs haven't started every single war since '48. In reality, I'm willing to bet that everyone here recognizes this theory as the propagandistic bulls*it that it is. Pick up any book on the history of the area, and that is what it will say. I don't need to refute it - every historian on the planet has already done that for me.

BTW, if your author would have limited it to a case study of the 1967 Six-Day war, then he might have been able to argue that one, because the Israelis launched a preemptive attack in that one. Of course, they only did so when we handed them sattelite intel showing that the Arabs were massing for another attack...
