Is one of only five players in NBA history to lead the league in three-pointers made in two different seasons, in 1990-91 (172) and in 1991-92 (162)

That's my argument. Max was suppose to hoist up that many 3s. That was his role. Plus the Rockets know that Max could blow up as a crazy scorer once in awhile.
On 1/26/91, Maxwell scored 30 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the fourth quarter of a 50-point night.
In 1993-94 Maxwell had a spectacular eight-game stretch in which his three-point shooting was largely responsible for Houston victories.....Perhaps the most memorable occurred on 12/9 in a game with the Miami Heat, when his fallaway trey from 35 feet sent the game into overtime.....then hit a three-pointer in overtime to give Houston a 7-point cushion.

Rafer's role shouldn't be jacking up more 3s than Vernon or Reggie Miller or Rex Chapman. Notice when Rafer took it strong to the hole, good things happen.

Even if he's wide open, he should take to the hole or go in for the 15footer. He should defer his 3point shooting to Shane or Tmac. I want more assists from our PG than 3point attempts.
