The Woodlands is very nice, but wouldn't the schools not be as good there as say a Klein School District or Cy-Fair? (admitting openly that I may be misinformed )
I don't know about Klien but I have some friends that live in Cy-Fair and they are very happy with the schools. This weekend we are starting our comparison of all of the school districts in the area. The nice thing is I'm not locked into a certain part of town. My wish list would be... Good Schools Easy access to a major freeway 4 bedrooms 2 car garage Pool if possible. If I'm moving out of the city into the burbs I'm not going to buy the first house I find. I'm going to search until I find something that will suit my family for years to come.
There are a ton of new homes going up out where I live off of the Grand Parkway in Fort Bend. It's unbelievable. And the good thing is the West Park Tollway is scheduled to be open by this fall. That will make getting down to the loop a breeze. It takes us 15 minutes to get to the First Colony mall area and about 20 minutes to get to the beltway/59 area using the Grand Parkway/Hwy 90. My kids aren't school age yet so I'm not sure about the schools. I know they are building a brand new high school not far from my house that is scheduled to open in a year or two. I'll try to find some links to the new houses going up out here.
