Just read the Jason Whitlock article on this and agree with what JWhitlock had to say:

"Gilbert vented. I give James credit for not responding.

Jackson and other African-Americans need to follow LeBron’s lead. We look foolish. We look hypocritical. We come across like people who have little genuine interest in seeing racial prejudice disappear and more like people who just want it to swing in our favor."

    Say NO to racism!

And Lebron is a hero again. LOL.

Seriously though, race is an issue as long as people like Jackson bring it up. Slave??? Not even close to a comparison, sure lebron made gilbert a ton of money, but come one james left with over 250 million dollars from Cleveland, including endorsements.

Whitlock rips Lebron in that article also. He was just giving Lebron props for not responding to Gilbert's letter.

Watching PTI this afternoon, Mike Wilbon agreed with Jesse Jackson. What a complete tool.

Dan Gilbert is a vagina who deserves all the bad **** happening to him.

Now his ****ty franchise in a ****ty city will be ****ty for many years to come. The value of his franchise will continue to decrease.

What a tool. Team is falling apart so fast and they have no future.

I don't know squat about Dan Gilbert. Why does he deserve this again?

If I was a Cavaliers fan his comments would endear me to him. Basically summing up the feelings of the fans.

Jackson is stupid. He wants the black people to be superior to all other races. Everytime there is a confrontation between a non-black and a black, he always thinks the black is the victim and bashing the other person. That's not crying for equality like back in the days, but it's wanting superiority. To him, the blacks are never wrong, ever.

No he's not...because Jackson doesn't represent black people in any way shape or form.

Just because Jackson and I both have ancestors who hailed from the African continent doesn't mean that we are somehow "mystically connected". Jackson's failures are his own as are his triumphs, his actions do not reflect the opinions of the African-American/African descent/Black community in any way shape or form.

If anybody thinks that his comments do....then they may be an even bigger idiot than Jackson himself

Whitlock is an idiot as well. "We" don't come across as anything. African-Americans are not monolithic despite what many would like to believe.

    Fine.

I was just pissed that he gave Lowry that deal and wanted to vent.

Proud of Lowry but that is too much for a backup PG.

I'm extremely disappointed to hear that. He's not known for being a reactionary. I think a lot of reporters are afraid to lose access, so they're going to say whatever keeps LeChoke happy.
