kanye doesnt have that 13-16 fan group...just turn on mtv...see how many 50 videos you'll see on trl. Everytime I turn on TRL he's making a guest appearance.

Actually, Kanye does have that 13-16 fan group. He's just as commercial as 50 Cent but 50 is more popular.

Kanye doesn't really appeal to that demographic though. His style might but not his music. But yeah, 50 is more popular, but that's cause he is a marketing genius. As far as music goes though, he knows jack ****.

For those who care - Kanye's Graduation album recently was leaked on the internet

Pretty dope album IMO - his lyrics are just sick and on point not many guests just his bars on many of the songs

Search for a torrent of it or for those of yall who want a direct download here's the rapidshare link -

Speaking of Lil Wayne, his song "I feel like dying" is trippy as hell. It is a cool song that has a sweet hook. Different from anything else out there.

meh has pretty weak energy imo, besides the singles didnt really do much for me and I am a HUGE kanye fan..

he should have just released 'the graduate' mixtape as his album, google it, way better than that, tons of appearances by jayz, andre3000, young joc, more songs and every one is off the hook

Kanye? Man I wanna see 50 get it on with Jay-Z or Snoop. Or maybe I just wanna see them on a rapoff.

On a related note, I was watching that show on MTV with Nick Cannon last year when there are 2 groups basically freestyling against each other. Kanye was the celebrity guest once and he just ripped everyone and their momma up on the freestyle. Then there are the Ying Yang Twins.... well... lets just say my little 10 year old cousin can freestyle better than them, and she barely speaks English.

Maaan, I love that song. He absolutely wrecked it. Not to mention that his flow is ridiculous.

Anyways back to the topic, I don't really feel Kayne lyrically. I mean, when his first album came it, I liked it because it was kinda different. But now, its still the same stuff and seems repetitive. Although, his beats are always on point and thats what he should stick to because his rhymes are corny. But he is lyrically better than 50.

Now 50 Cent, I can't stand his music! Dude is always so arrogant and raps about nothing. He doesn't drink, smoke or anything and he made a song called "High all the Time", it doesn't make sense. Especially how he talks about how real he is and how everyone else is fake. Now, I know plenty of rappers talk about stuff they don't do but its usually killing or selling drugs. There's nothing wrong with NOT smoking or drinking so I don't understand what he is trying to accomplish here. Must be an image thing.

Oh yeah, Houston's own Lil Flip already did a track/video of "I Get Money" before 50 did his. Same beat and hook. But of course he is not 50 Cent so he got little to no airplay for this video.

50 makes some catchy hooks and his voice is good for that. I liked his first album it was very catchy.

Selling albums doesn't mean a damn thing. Sure 50 sells millions and millions but that is not saying much. I think Talib said it best, "If lyrics sold, I'd probably be, just as rich and famous as Jay-Z."

exactly. i used like 50 a lot when he first came out but his lyrics just dont do it for me.

he was on 97.9 a couple of weeks ago bashing kanye's new cd. im sure kanye's songs will have more meaning than 50's songs.

I think its the "turning 30" thing and re-examining. And having a heaping money stash to live off of.

And agree, they have absolute freedom to talk but some less talk here and more music. Competition between multi-millionaires doesnt move me anyways.

Thats how it is in (mainstream) rap 75-80% of the time, which is okay. Good rappers can sound really average with poor production.

For real, I dont know the difference between a G-Unit album or 50 solo album.

Used to gripe about how its the same producers for everyone, but now I'm fine with Pharrell or Timbaland producing alot of tracks. Cant deny they're at the top of the list when it comes to QUALITY beats

50 Cent's Curtis clean version leaked too.

I copped Kanye's yesterday, listening to 50's now.

I was lookin forward to Kanye's but I'm not feelin it at all.

As for 50's, I've heard a few songs, and I don't really like it either, but it's better than Kanye's due to the production and 50's hooks alone IMO.
