Does anyone else on this site think Yao sounds kind of black when he speaks English... I think it's cool, because it's obvious who's been tutoring him. :)

I wish you could give negative stars. Admins/Mods should lock this thread before it gets out of hand.

Does that mean T-Mac has mad street cred? I don't think anyone has been mentioned in more rap lyrics than this guy.

Or is it that T-Mac just fooled everyone? Artest has waaaaaays to go before he gets to T-Mac's street cred in the rap community.

And as everyone knows, apathy toward street cred gives you street cred. And so does asserting confidence regarding one's hip hop knowledge, let alone being an authority on what is or is not cool -- but, of course, not in a high school sort of way.

Nicely played. I'm giving you street cred. Turning it down will only get you more.

Jay: "hey this dude behind us, blacktopKING, he's staring at us"

    Ron: "is he a hater?"

Jay: "I think he is. He is mad that somebody stole his Ja Rule CDs"

I wouldn't put him and NAS in same sentence when talking about hip hop. QB is the only thing they have in common when it comes to writing rhymes.

I could never understand why people hate music period. Everyone does not need to like a certain music but they should not put it down because they may not like it. Different strokes for different folks. I can listen to all types of music it does not bother me believe me growing up 9 miles from the Mexican border you get a sampling of all kinds of music/music stations but if I am paying for a cd is Metal/Hard Rock.

    Hey fan of Mos Def...

    These are the facts.

Ron Artest could walk through the hood unscathed.

He could walk to Big G off of Lockwood with all his jewelry on, park his Bentley and the local Kashmere Garden G's would not touch him.

They would show him mad respect and love because he came up out of the same conditions they have been through and are going through.

    O another thing.

Jay Z has no street cred.

he never sold dope (not that selling dope is a good thing, but he used to be a Jamaican rapper that was wack)
