Is it unethical for Hinkie to try and hire away our assistants?

So a guy gets a chance to get a better job and he shouldn't take it?

    Clutchfans is being delusional.

I aint even mad. If I were Finch, I'd be packing my bags.

Maybe Mauri can get Jose Mourinho or Rafa Benitez to be part of our coaching staff.

Finch's been great for us. He deserves the chance to move upward, though if the office has been grooming him as the next head coach I don't see why he would leave us to coach for a talent-starve Philly team.

You're high. Finch has already been a head coach multiple times. He has more head coaching experience than Kevin McHale. Rockets management including Hinkie LOVE Finch and think he is going to be a great head coach.

Don't forget this; hell, the guy even played for the Rockets and made an awesome assist in his very first play....

Dont want Finch. His offensive philosphy is that everyone, including forwards, can bring up the ball to play the playmaker position. This shouldn't be the case. The guards have superior handles for a reason. We should almost never see Asik handle the ball outside the paint. Let this clown go.

I thought he was being groomed to be the head coach for the rockets? Just wait one more year until Mchale's contract is up, then Finch can be promoted.

Why would he go to a bad team with no valuable assets. He's going to struggle and he will lose, resulting in getting fired. Stay with a winning team like the rockets that can make him look like a brilliant head coach.

I'm sure Morey has discussed Finch's future as head coach of the rockets.

Does Morey trust him as much as Riley does Spo? I'm not so sure (after all, Spo was in Miami for over a decade), it's possible the whole Finch plan unravelled when Harden pushed our rebuild three years ahead, which Hinkie would know.

Henkie knew Morey was grooming Finch!

I hope Finch realizes if he stays he could eventually coach a Championship contender.

If he goes to Philly he'll just be a stop gap like every other coach they've had got 10 years

Yeah. Who cares about results and the high-powered offense that was put in place over this past season.

I think that may have changed now since the Expansion process took on hyper-speed this year. With the players that are being put in place, I think the Rockets may be going after a coach with more experience.

Good luck to him and I hope he gets it.

Also, I agree with gengar, if Finch was the mastermind behind the team's offense which seemed pedestrian and too dependent on the 3 ball falling or Harden (sometimes either Lin or Parsons) carrying the team via driving to the lane on fastbreaks then he isn't that vital IMO. If McHale and Morey can get a assistant that can coach a more well rounded offensive game plan, then this team is all the better for the departure.

Just like he's done with second-round picks, Morey can no doubt find a new batch of undervalued assistant coaches on the scrap heap.

At least take them away from us after 2-3 years with our current squad so we can see our full potential.
