I was just about to post something on that. I thought she looked more than decent, she looked hot. CBS had a preview or promo for it during this afternoon's game. She had on a pair of glasses on the show and she looked like a hot librarian type. I haven't watched this show since the first season but I have to watch it now.

I know I'm late but I've recently started watching this show these past 2 weeks. I'm halfway through season 4. This show is amazingly funny.
It's pretty good... minus Ted. He almost makes it unwatchable. If it didn't have Marshall and Barney, I wouldn't continue to watch.
They've started to overdo Ted's quirkiness but he is heart of the show. His storyline is the basis for everyone else. Marshall and Barney carry the show comedically, but if the stories focused around them the show would grow stale really quickly. And FWIW, Lily is the worst character on the show.
There are times when Ted is good but other times when I just can't stand him and his whole hopeless romantic thing he has going on. Luckily, Barney makes the show way better.
Long time How I met your mother fan here. I started watching since season two. naturally of course i dont think the show is as good as it used to be (yes im that guy). 1. Ted- can be annoying but overall not too bad 2. Robin- Slowly starting not to fit in as much (her role doesnt seem as refined) and shes lost a step in terms of looks. 3. barney- awesome; the show would drop down many levels without him; dont think it would've even survived this long without him. He reached legendary status with his books (bro code) 4. Marshall and Lily- i'll rate them as one since they are pretty much inseperable. however, marshall definitely carries the couple. But together they are pretty funny. 5. Ranjit- great character with very few lines (only true how i met your mother fans know who this is :grin lastly i am glad people started liking this show, it seems like it didnt get the exposure it deserved until it started being syndicated. P.S. Spoiler The whole britney spears guest appearance was by far the worst move that the show ever did. i was ashamed that they would cheapen the show by trying to fit her in. i didnt mind other guest appearances as much as I did hers.
Decent young singles sitcom that gets a free pass because reality TV and decency standards make it hard for networks to produce original or compelling comedy. Writers deserve some credit for creativity early on, for developing characters with an eye towards comedic utility rather then emotional substance or story arc, and for finally updating the generational context for rom-com type shows. Actors deserve points for their energy. Unfortunately, the show can get bogged down in some bad premises that can't really be executed that well (the "Blitz") and I've seen individual scenes with some pretty lazy writing (the whole "Sven" scene from the GNB architecture bids). No opinion about Ted one way or another except that his character is the most realistic, the insecurity and awkwardness reinforces the difficulty of his "journey" and that the beat-boxing scene was the funniest single thing I've actually seen on that show. Somebody said Robin/Colbie Smulders is slipping looks-wise, not sure that's even possible; her beauty is mostly based on height and an insanely flattering bone structure that can't really go away with age. I wouldn't expect much more out of her acting wise (scripts and pilots but no hits) and would probably recommend she just go the daytime TV route.
I like this show and all, but based on its primary plot line it has already gone on at least a season or two too long, and supposedly will has already been green lighted for season 8 now too.
I had an Ex who made me watch this show with her a long time ago -- middle of last decade I think. I'm surprised that this show is still on. Never felt it was that good.
Recently started watching this show with wifey, and we're hooked. Where could we find season 7 episodes online?
1 hour season finale is tonight. Barney's wife will be revealed and I do believe they will be hinting at Ted's future wife. Also, Lilly and Marshall's son will be born.
I agree about Robin.. idk does she seem skinnier to you guys than usual? and she looks tired all the time now, maybe it's how they do her make-up now. Whatever it is I went back and looked at some earlier seasons and she was wayy hotter than she is now.
I generally prefer curves to overly skinny look but I actually think Robin is hotter now. In fact I didn't even used to consider her "hot" in celebrity terms.
