No? That would have put her firmly at odds with Obama then...and interesting position, and choice, for SoS.
It isn't about being hawkish or not. Hillary as SoS and former first lady, knows that it's important to wait until the facts are in. Once the facts are in, she could be the biggest war hawk in history. But she knows that she needs to wait. Trump has no clue and just spouted off. Hillary followed quickly behind, though with her experience she knows it's the wrong thing to do. She was just playing politics though. She'll do and say whatever she thinks it will take to win. But playing follow the leader with Trump won't work. It's too early to tell for sure who will win. It's just that right now Hillary is acting like a scared follower. If it continues, it will be very difficult for her to win.
Spoken like a jilted Sanders supporter. If you want to win a big Senate majority, you do it by picking off Republican voters, not Berniebros.
I'm not bitter about Sanders losing. It was fair, and Sanders outperformed expectations all along the way. I am concerned about the possibility of a Trump presidency.
This. You may like Hilary more than Bernie, but the head to head polls are concerning. A Trump presidency is a nightmare scenario.
Sigh, if you believe Trump is going to win 30% of Hispanic voters, you should be concerned about the latest polls. Not. Gonna. Happen.
Careful there. You misjudge the American born hispanics and their interests. I who quite a few hispanics including myself that don't agree with illegal immigration and know the problems they bring. Second generation hispanic-americans do not answer to the dog whistle that is support the rights of illegals.
I don't "believe" anything. I am merely concerned with the "possibility", as you should be. I was under the impression that Trump would flame out quickly in the primaries. Somehow, his charm to the idiots of the country is much more motivating than previously thought. Not to mention the controversies, real or not, hanging over Hilary's head. If the Republicans were smart, they saved their best ammo for last and are waiting to drop it sometime between now and November. It only takes so many Swift Boat veterans to create a narrative.
Don't be concerned. Unless a real honest to god scandal comes out that sticks to Clinton there is no way Trump wins. There are a LOT I mean a lot lot of American Idol/Nascar loving folks in this country that don't have a damn clue about this world that will vote for Trump. But there are simply not enough of them. Regardless the Kim Kardasian watchers out there for the Dems will offset some of them to make it a semi wash. You then have the people that are actually educated from CA, OR, WA, NY that will keep his dumb ass out of office.
This is the answer to what again? It's not about how likable Trump is to Hispanic voters. It's about how much Hispanic Americans hate illegal immigrants. BTW Trump make fun of Mexicans and lots of Central Americans agree with him. Hispanics in general don't just stick together. They have zero pride for people outside of their home country.
I was wondering what happened to all those people who were saying in the fall that Clinton would crush whoever came out of the Republican primary.
I respect that view, but I totally disagree. Hillary knows that what she or any other politician says about these things doesn't have to be related to what she actually does or what actually happens. She's a shrewd politician, and she knows these statements are just a PR game. That's why she changes what she says all the time, but she never changes what she actually does. Trump has no clue about the internal working but, again, that doesn't matter because we're not actually talking about how each person would handle these situations. We're talking about what each person would say publicly about these situations. Hillary isn't scared. She's been in this game a long time, she knows Trump personally and she's been preparing for Trump for several months now. She would have said what she said anyway, but she must be annoyed that he said it so quickly and the media then made it seem like she either has to answer the question or she loves terrorism (which is ridiculous of the media to do). Hillary is going to war with Iran, and ending Syria as a country. Trump is not going to do that, he has giant real estate business deals with these people. He's more interested in making America more business friendly than he is in nation-demolition. He'll say what he has to to win the GE but to me it's clear he would be a dove relative to Hillary.
Hillary loves fracking https://theintercept.com/2016/05/23/hillary-clinton-fracking/ Too long for me to copy and paste on my phone
Any sane, intelligent, non-biased person is still saying that. Beyond all rationale this is still a two party country. With a swath of the country that will not vote for the opposite party. So Trump will get his votes. But in my opinion it wont even be close this November. And America finally gets its' Split candidate. HAHA
If the salesmen at Gallery Furniture at be believed, there's about a 50/50 split on who Houston-area mattress buyers think will win. And this is what he said after he had secured the sale, so no real reason to lie. He said first most people picked Republicans, then "when Trump started running his mouth" a bunch of people started picking Democrats. And he said so long as the breakdown is near 50/50 that Mattress Mack was still going to have his sale. Anyway I guess there's no real point to me writing what I just wrote, except to say that I already bet $4K on Hillary, which is a lot of money to me. Let's go Dems! I need my mattress purchase refunded!
