    Well the Hill <--> Hakeem comparison is very apt and obvious for even the most casual fan. More invested students of the game, from so called "basketball people" to the sabermetricians and stat heads can see this.

    The Patterson <--> Thorpe comparison is a bit of a stretch. I am not sure if PPat can ever achieve the automatic outside shot as well as basic free throw proficiency that OT had.
