The outrage from this incident shows what wussies we've become. Captain Kirk was viewed as showing restraint when he would order the phasers set on stun. At Kent State, they didn't taser the protesters, they shot them dead. Kerry needs to work on his heckler comeback skills. Maybe a training session with Jerry Sienfeld or George Karlins. Maybe remind the heckler that if he keeps acting up and gets expelled from the University, he will end up fighting the war for George Bush in Iraq. But it was probably a good thing he didn't go Michael Richards on him.

What was that book that he was recommending to Kerry? I'm curious. The guy has valid points but he should have walked away quietly to avoid being forced to leave and shut up to avoid getting tased.
It was on CBS. I forgot what it was called. It was COPS with celebrities as ride alongs. I remember one episode where Jack Osbourne was lecturing a crack addict on how she can turn her life around without going to rehab.
He definitely got a little worked up over his own questions - could have asked them in a more civil manner, it didn't seem like Kerry had any problem with them. But he also didn't seem to deserve the stun/taser.
Jon Stewart summed it up best last night: "An unfortunate combination of police over-reaction and what appears to be student douche-baggery."
