Sounded like Kerry was actually gonna answer the question - the cops reacted too soon, and too much. But the kid was obviously trying to make a name for himself. Seriously though - one loudmouth (and handcuffed) kid, and 5 cops - and they couldn't just pick him up and carry him out? He was making a show of it and they just helped him make it a bigger show. Cops generally aren't too bright.
Amen. Same here. Growing up, I couldn't stand them. Now I've got nothing but sympathy for most of them having to deal with many of the idiots they have to. I was waiting for someone to start saying "he was only skateboarding... he was only skateboarding"... lol. Here's the guy's website : http://www.theandrewmeyer.com/ Apparently granny is disappointed in him and more details on what happened that led up to the video : http://www.miamiherald.com/466/story/241219.html
Amazing how you came to the conclusion that it was because he asked a provocative question that the cops tasered him.
well in the guy's defense, one of the cops was a girl. i have a hard time taking orders from a girl cop. lol! Five-Hoe
That was bs. The guy asked some good questions. Kerry was going to answer the questions and the campus cops think it's their job to remove him and taser him in the process. Jesus. You know what would be really funny. If someone who thinks this was a reasonable response finds themselves arguing over a traffic ticket they have paid but didn't get entered into the system and then gets the sh_t tasered out of them because a cop at the DMV thinks they are causing a disturbance.
If six cops have you pinned, you stfu and do what they say. I hope he learned a lesson. That said, when are cops going to learn? There's video EVERYWHERE now.
It was more both sides (the guy and the cops). They both overreacted. I didn't find this funny but then if I was there, I might have laughed a little.
Remember the skater beatdown in Hot Springs. It looked really bad for the cops but the cops were cleared of any wrongdoing. Could be same situation here.
no kidding. not the fact he was being a complete ass or that he was not following the orders of the officers. More punks like that need a tazering. Somewhere along the lines people forgot there are reprocussions for actions.
Now the video doesn't show how many questions he ask or what kind, something tells me his question wasn't the first and he was probably getting more confrontational, I doubt the cops would just be surrounding him if it was his first question. by the way, it did crack me up, don't taser me bro!
Being an ass isn't a crime. Once the cops tried to escort him out he shouldn't have resisted, for that I think he did deserve the tasering, but it should have never come to that. I don't want to live in a society were you can't express your opinion or say something that a politician may not like (regardless of how stupid it is) without the threat of being arrested.
rolling on the ground and yelling like some 12 year old. i couldnt wait for the tasering. geez i've never heard one person whine so much.
