the red beans and rice at popeyes is easily one of the most underrated fast food items.

It was probably bad luck ... or maybe I had good luck because one thing I noticed about the pieces I had was that they weren't dry. Maybe mine was fresh or something. I like Popeyes more, but would rather eat grilled than fried chicken on a whim.

Completely agreed. There's gotta be something unnatural in those beans. The fries are pretty good too.

So today I reintroduced my taste buds to Bojangles chicken in sake of this conversation. They had a Wednesday buffet special for 7.00 with the drink .. and not bar style either. I might give Bojangles chicken a slight edge...its close. After having the sides again, there just is no competition compared to Popeyes.

wasn't Chick-Fil-A? (great movie btw, should start a thread on it)

this deal is BS, they have the Tuesday special for 2 pieces for .99, get 4 of those for $4, $4 special for 8 pieces, every Tuesday, there you go....

as for the KFC grilled chicken, its good stuff, the price is the same as fried, so there isn't a price difference, but still pricey. In the end, I would rather buy a whole Rotisserie chicken from HEB for $6, now Rotisserie chickens is nowhere compared to Fried Chicken

It's amazing the pettiness of people when it comes to their fast food.

I met DMX at a night-club in Los Angeles one time. We shook hands and he asked me 'How's the chicken?'

Does anyone know what he meant by that?
