This post goes out to all the shake machines that mysteriously "break" or are "getting cleaned" every single night.
It's not worth leaving the ice cream machine on late at night. More efficient to just not sell it. That's at least what I was told after trying to order one every 2am during college.
LOL. That's definitely happened before. I make sure I very rarely eat it. If I have it two servings in a row, I'm gonna be hurting.
There are a couple in N Carolina, but the ones in S. Carolina have gone out of business. Makes me sad Last time I went to popeyes my g/f ordered water. Cashier says, "we're out of water". I ask for an ice cup because we have water in the car. She tells me that we have to buy a drink to get ice. WTF?

I just tried some. KFC's fried chicken is nasty, but the grilled chicken was decent. The only thing I didn't like was the pricing - it's way overpriced.
Yeah...I think that was the joke he was trying to make, as evidenced by his gratuitous use of quotation marks.
I can't believe Frenchy's has only been mentioned a few times in this thread. Their chicken is miles and miles better than anything Popeye's, KFC, or Church's has to offer. King Special with strawberry Fanta, nothing can top it.
Two pieces of chicken with two sides for $3.99 is overpriced? With a drink being an extra buck? Man, I b**** about a lot of stuff, but that's a pretty good price for a relatively healthy lunch.
Nah, I got the 6 piece - 3 for lunch, 3 for dinner (no, really!). It was something like $9.99 with no sides. I must've gone on a bad day. lol. I should've dug for coupons. It seems expensive for chicken even if it's not really expensive. I guess I'm comparing it to when you could get something like 9 pieces for $7.99 or something just a couple of years ago. But of course this is grilled chicken.... so it's.... more expensive.
I noticed they just opened a Frenchy's on FM 1960 near Willowbrook. Has anyone been there yet and give a review? The quality seems to vary from location to location.
I prefer Popeyes, if in the very least, they have better sides. Bojangles is somewhere in the middle of Popeyes (dry) and KFC (extremely greasy). I haven't had it in a couple years ... maybe I'll have some for lunch today.
I tried the KFC grilled chicken last night (I didn't do it because of this thread, we just happened to be somewhere where it was being served). It was OK. Kind of dry, actually. The bigger the piece, the dryer is was.
