I can buy into the argument Hill is greater than Dorsey for many reasons. Better offense, better upside, better character, etc... But to say Dorsey sucks all the time is just not true.
Your argument was a few opinionated impressions. I don't think anyone would consider them too deeply in a Hill vs Dorsey poll. Hill's 23 games with us: 6.4 (53%) and 5, 0.5 blk, 2.4 fpg I'll take Dorsey's minutes and double them to be a more even comparison: 3.2 (46%) and 7, 0.3 blk, 3.4 fpg If you double those numbers, you'd get a (flawed but comparable) projection of what they might do in 30 mpg, assuming they kept their rates the same (no one ever does). What should be apparent is that Dorsey is so awful on offense that you can't trot him out there. He's a brainless version of Chuck Hayes, which makes him no more than a backup to a 10th man. Given his very serious focus and work ethic issues, he's Euroleague material. You knocked Hill's skyhook, which makes me think you missed the youtube of CD working with Dorsey and his baby hook for the ages. Hill is not a guy I see making an All Star game without a dramatic leap in development, but he demonstrated last year that he has a fair knack around the offensive boards and can get you scrappy buckets and weakside help on defense. He's not a good 1-on-1 defender yet and needs to crank up his production on the defensive boards, but he isn't a gross liability on one end of the floor like Dorsey was. Evan
