    Certainty of fit with Sengun:

    Smith: 100%
    Chet: 50%
    Banchero: 25%

This is completely unscientific…it’s just how I think about their futures.

Smith can 100% play with Sengun. Even if you don’t think he’s a rim protector, you can draft a big 3 that has that in his game (someone like Eason).

Chet all depends on whether he can play as a 4 long term in the league. I’d put about even odds on it.

Banchero has grown on me. That I’ve even given this a 25% chance is a big improvement over where I had him before spending time scouting. He’s a tweener forward who will most likely be best with a high level defensive 5. I do not believe Paolo will be a poor defender…he could even be good. But I don’t believe he has the kind of defensive upside that will allow him to be an anchor on that end. The kind of SF you pair him with will be very important with a Banchero/Sengun frontcourt.

Thats pretty good. Chet and Sengun would be an amazing pairing and I think he would be the best fit with Sengun. You could go through every NBA team in the entire league and I bet you Smith would fit 100%.

    Agreed.

Chet is even more of a fit with Sengun, about 90%, because he provides the length and rim protection that Sengun lacks.

Jabari is a 100% fit with every single team in the NBA.

    Period.

And I'd place the Banchero-Sengun fit to be just around 50%, give or take 10%, depending on commitment and improvement on defense and 3ball by both players.

Intelligent players can play together, no matter how much their perceived skills overlap.

See Tatum/Brown. Or Harden/CP3. Smart players make it work. Dumb players don't.

To quote Stone “Overlapping strengths isn’t a problem, but overlapping weaknesses is.”

@Clutch just keeps eviscerating this kid's simplistic takes.

    Hilarious! :D

How is this eviscerating the guy when the stats you love so much prove him wrong?

So do you believe in advanced defensive metrics or not D-rock?

Because according to those he is a plus defender.

5 game small sample size analysis and guesstimates do not sway me.

And before you ask again, DRAPM is not the be all and end all of advanced stats.

I've already explained this to you multiple times.

Same with iso defense metrics, does not correlate to defensive productivity.

But you keep asking your questions Cucker Tarlson.

    LOL

What might be the implications of this statement going into the draft?

    5 game sample size?

I have no idea why you think it' 5s a game sample size but anyway I see where this deflection is going.

So you believe everybody's numbers when it comes to Chet but when those numbers are used for Banchero it's a 5 game sample size.

    Seems legit.

I don’t think Paulo’s takes are simplistic and I don’t think Clutch believes that either. No need to be demeaning

The vid analysis only covers 5 games genius.

Did you even watch it before spouting off your nonsense?

    Banchero is 6’10 245
    Sengun is 6’9 maybe 6’9.5 in shoes? 240-245 ?

They both are decent sized for their respective ages when they have been drafted. Whether or not long term they will be able fit into a defensive scheme long term is a question but will never know until it is tried ( if Paolo is drafted )

A lot of Sengun minutes at the 5 would have been with either Tate Or KJ next to him? Be surprised what bigger bodies can do if they defensive scheme is right.

Paolo and Alp are pretty much identical size. Both 6’9/6’10 in shoes with 7’1 wingspans

They will both only get stronger. Sengun also averaged .9 blocks in 20 MPG as a rookie so he has shown he can somewhat protect the rim at the NBA level.

It’s naturally going to take players time who are young who were stars or big factors on offence for their teams before getting drafted as it’s not as big of an emphasis for them as they are doing so much with the ball.

Really rooting for Paolo to become a plus defender.

    Because DEFENSE MATTERS.

3P% and volume 3PA matters too.

    Especially in playoffs.
