    Good point.

1-3 is locked by division leaders. So we'd have to over take the Spurs which is unlikely.

So 4th seed is the best case scenario.

    I think we're closer to 1-2 versus 3-5

SW division is the best this year. No way we beat out the Spurs for top 3 seed.

The way you set the brackets really makes the vote tough to be honest. I think we be between 4-7.

I'm gonna go (2)(3). We shall over take the spurs As soon as Father Time hits them.

I was thinking more of record wise more than playoff seedings, so I chose 1-2 if we were to hustle on D and move ball on O. But most likely 4th seed in playoffs cause we won't catch SA unless do the things I stated.

The answer of course is 1. Only 17% of the season is complete and the Rockets are only 3.5 games away from the first seed. Despite some tough loses.

Hoping for at least 4th, we have to beat the top west teams, so we can have the tie breakers, we saw what happened last year how LA got 7th even though we had the same record as them.

are you asking the highest seed we can get to or the highest seed we will finish with?

because we are already higher than a 6th seed right now.

    I think we finish 4th.

when was the last time we were a 1 seed?
my guess is when we won our 22nd game in a row in 2008.

    Spurs/OKC/LAC will be the first three. Rockets/Warriors/Mavs jockeying for 4, 5 and 6. We're probably 4th

If the Rockets continue the same pace they will finish 54-28. Last year that would have been good enough to finish sixth behind OKC, SA, Denver, Clips, Memphis. I expect them to pick up the pace.

4th, not going to overtake the spurs record wise.

Probably 3-5. Spurs, Clips and OKC are going to be in the mix for the top 2.

My guess is #3. There's a huge difference between 3 and 5. You're talking about playing the Grizzlies or Blazers in the first round versus the Clippers or Warriors. I do NOT want to be the team that has to take out LAC, especially with that Jazz-like home court advantage.

probably 4. The spurs are just a machine. Their starter don't even play that much and they are blowing out teams.

    not exactly.

1-4 are guaranteed for the three division leaders and the next best record.

last year, Denver was better than the Clippers in record, but trailed OKC in their division.

Nuggets were 3rd seed with 57-25 record, division leading Clippers were 4th seed with 56-26 record.

so let's say we have a better record than the Pacific division leader (currently tied with Clippers at 10-5), we could take the 3 seed.

Barring a miracle, we're not getting a better record than the Spurs. I doubt we finish higher than OKC.

    I'm guessing 3-5.

    With Asik: 1-2
    Without him: 3-5
    I chose the latter.:(
