I don't know who has the "higher upside", but what I do know is that Motiejunas has absolutely no business being in the starting lineup.
I wish would have kept Morris for just this season atleast. Call up T Jones. We need more physicality down there.
If DMo keeps leaving stinkers out there on the court eventually we're gonna have to see what Terrence Jones can do.
I would be all for a T Jones/T Rob PF rotation to see how it goes. It is blatantly obvious that DMo should not be playing significant minutes. He's just a foul or a 3 point brick waiting to happen.
I used to be pro-youth with developing Don and T-Rob, but I want Smith. He would be so amazing for us!
I would still start Donatas. At least he has a passable jumper at around mid range. If he or Delfino isn't starting, Lin and Harden would be even more ineffective.
Moteijunas sucks. Plain and simple. He has good low post moves but is way too soft. Doesn't rebound, at first I tought that he was an above average shooter but he really isn't. Average at best.
i thought the D-Mo experiment should have been over several games ago. and it seems like the more playing time he is getting now (especially as a starter), the more damage it is doing to both his confidence for the future and to the team's ability to win games right now. obviously we don't have many other options at this point now, but greg smith is still probably better as a starter at the 4 because at least he can get rebounds, clog the paint, and finish at the rim. D-Mo is just utterly useless on the court. not developing T-Jones this entire season has come back to haunt the coaching staff.
Tricky question. Motiejunas probably has the bigger upside, because when he plays well, he has more length and is better at spacing the floor and passing. That said, I think Robinson is likely to be the better overall player because of his motor. Even when Thomas doesn't play well, he gives you good effort, goes hard for rebounds and generally attacks the rim on offense. Motiejunas gets lazy on defense and psyched out on offense. On the whole, I think Robinson's attitude will make him a more consistent and better player.
