Under the "Rocket Fan Constitution of the
America," I have the right to b****.

That being said, I'm die-hard. And die
hard doesn't mean that I will sit in my
chair, be quiet, and kiss Rudy or Francis's,
    butt.

If the Rox suck, then I'll say so. If
they do well, I'll say so.

Our standards have risen. The 93-95 teams
were not considered "excellence" in my
opinion. It was ugly ball. It wasn't a dynasty
    because those teams were pretenders.

The reason they call us "Clutch City"
is NOT because we were a great team(s).
It was because we won by the skin of
our teeth. We used Defense, Hakeem
and a little luck. We never really dominated
    on a consistent level.

People! Sports Illustrated didn't want to run
the Championship issue of 94' for a reason.
No one cared. They won ugly. Don't believe
me? Watch game 1, of the 94 Finals.
    Can you say, "Root canal?"

    Forget ugly-ball!
This time we should do it the right way.
And that means, a TEAM concept, with
offensive talent at every position, all lead
    by one leader! Hopefully, Francis.

One-on-One ball is old, tiring and predicable.

Our expectations of Francis are high. And
anything less than excellence, will not do.

Sorry. But that's the way it is.

P.S. And don't give me that lame reply, "Those
93-95 teams brought us two championships..."

    Blah, blah, blah...

You can keep buffing those trophies for
the next 100 years. Guess what? It wont bring
    more rings.

    A good book for Francis:
"Why Turn-overs are bad - by Isiah"

Don't be hard on the boys.

Let go of your demons because we like to keep a positive outlook on our Rockets here. The 1994 and 95 teams brought us 2 rings. No matter what you say or try to have us buy into, the 1981 and 86 teams accomplished jack squat in comparison.

that is true about the rocks being clutch....and never completely dominative...
But the Dream was a dominating player. But the rockets always needed those miracle threes.

Talk about a hypocrite. You say you have the right to whine, b****, and have your own opinion, yet you end your statement by telling people not to bring up the "fact" that the 94 and 95 teams won championships in their opinions on why those were great teams.

Anyways, I don't demand excellence. I just want Francis to play hard and to play smart. He plays hard all of the time, now he just needs to play smart all or most of the time as well. Excellence, please name some players who fit into the mold of always being excellent. My guess is that to be excelllent, you can't have bad games or tough stretches, right?

Dominant, not dominative. Sorry, a lil pet peeve. Most people confuse dominate with dominant, but I've never seen anyone confuse dominant with dominative (which isn't a word).

I take it that the Lakers had no 'luck' in the Sacramento series last year, or the Portland Blazers series a couple of years ago where they rallied from 15 down in the 4th quarter to win the series? :p

Luck is a huge part of winning a championship, and that's just the way it is.

The biggest difference between our current team and the 93-95 team was that the current team is the 2nd youngest in the league; the championship team was one of the oldest, taking away Horry and Cassell. I think we have lofty goals set for a team primed to make its biggest run in 3-5 years.

    Dominative is indeed a word.

    Try again. :p
