It was a shitty situation on many fronts and it shouldn’t have happened but we don’t need to get melodramatic about it. He is probably dealing with more stress related to all the publicity this has garnered rather than the actual act that was carried out against him.
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...r-forcing-black-wrestler-16-to-cut-dreadlocks Dude was fired. Don't know why you keep trying to defend this guy.
I don't feel that there was much melodrama in that post. Was the kid a victim? Yes. Does Bobby have a history of showing zero empathy? I mean...yes? Ignoring recent spats with other posters he's said some pretty appalling things. I remember him saying that Trayvon's parents were happy that their kid died...along with his feelings about abortion which are also pretty...out there. So yes, I'm not surprised that a kid having his hair cut when he didn't want it to be cut garners no empathy from Bobby. Not that it deserves a mural or anything...just that yes in the big picture of things that Bobby has refused to show any empathy for this one is small fries. That comment was directed more towards Bobby than anything
Not sure if that is dispositive. District may be looking to avoid a discrimination lawsuit as opposed to having fully investigated the issue and determining fault. My guess is that despite the debate going on, people would probably all agree that if the ref was racially motivated, he deserves what he is getting (I am not referring to the firing; I am referring to being publicly castigated for being a rascist.) I understand that he apparently used a racial slur in the past (although he claims not to recall and the other guy claims he did to justify his own actions. Both of their suspensions were ultimately revoked.) I would like to know if he has ever enforced that rule against other wrestlers and, if so, has he done so consistently to other races. It seems like there may be information that we don't know that could be exculpatory or damning.
I bet that if it turns out he has applied that rule dozens of times irrespective of race, JayGoogle would agree that it changes the analysis. Just like I bet that if there is evidence that he has disregarded that rule dozens of times in favor of other races and only applied it to blacks, you would find it appalling. Am I right?
Well yeah, if it turns out that this guy only applies that rule to black people then that would absolutely make him a racist scumbag and that would change how I feel about the whole thing. I mean, hell if he has a history of only enforcing that rule against black people then he should be banned from ever officiating another match. I'm just not going to assume that he's a racist scumbag without that information simply because he enforced a rule.
Ah....yes....I have him blocked and I just saw your comment below my post so I thought you were referring to me. Sorry for the confusion lol
