    maybe, but we don't know until he's at that point...we can't say for sure he'd retire, if he's physically unable to continue after yet another injury then obviously he would have no choice, but he may be able to rehab like he has so far.

    There is no way Yao accept 9mil a year if he recover from injury. There is no way Rocket let health Yao walk away. There are just simple facts.

    That deal would only work if we first trade Morey for Ainge. There's absolutely no way Morey does this sort of thing -- his entire philosophy as a GM is based on REDUCING risk, not increasing it.

    Yao's not a greedy guy. And he doesn't foolishly spend money like some of his NBA peers. He might be willing to give a hometown discount since he's quite loyal. In a few years I see him in the capacity of a Big Z like player.

    yao's a team player but i highly doubt he will take 9 mil, anderson will be a sound back up for yao. lowry and brooks is a great combo for us right now but we do have cheaper options such as newley, luoll, and even conroy either one i believe can give us slight cap relief heres a list of things to do

    develop our young talent
    trade scola battier and or landry in a sign and trade so we can get a top free agent....bosh
    we can trade lowry for a future draft pick and bring over luoll or sign conroy
    let tmac walk
    bring over maarty luenen or move anderson to the 4 and let hayes back up yao

    brooks/conroy or luoll
    cbud/ taylor
    ariza/ beck...yes beck he will be a good role player
    bosh/anderson or luenen
    yao/anderson or hayes
    i know this line up is far from our current but it gives us youth, speed, and size
