I read somewhere Yao will have Yet Another Surgery to repair the torn ligament in his shoulder next summer... I am really a bit pissed now, why would not he just do it in Feb and rehab it with his foot injury! I hope we would not get another notice some time next year that he has to be shut down for the shoulder injury till the end of the 09 season. It is the Rockets and not the CNT paying his salary, isn't it
I recall that back then there's concern that after the shoulder surgery, Yao might never gain back the same strength. So because of Olympics, they took the conservative approach.
Money is one thing, I begin to feel tired of being let down again (mind you, three times already) while every other team is in their playoff push…
The rockets are not one of the worst teams in this league for sure. I think the rockets bring a lot of joy to us (at least to me), and this is the reason why the rockets have so many fans. Yao has claimed he will focus on the rockets in future. In addition, the rockets should find a good backup for Yao. He cannot play 38-40 minutes per game. BTW, do you realize why the rockets support Yao to play for his country? If Yao earns more respect in China, the rockets will earn more money in China!
I have been kinda outspoken against what the OP has said. So have you determined whether I am a Yao only Fan or not? Listen, actually i don't really disagree with what the OP 'wanted' to say. But what's so pathetic about you people is that you had to use the lame 'Yao only fans' label hoping that it would make what you said more convincing. Are you aware that these lame labels like Y O F or T O F have been banned in this forum? Are you aware that there must be a reason that the forum moderators had to do that? This is the most recent news about Yao and his injuries. It sounds terrible. If Yao can get us a good PG or a 1st pick or a center or anything, we should trade him before he is broken down.
Are you a chinese fan? If so, why do you want to trade Yao? Do you hate the rockets? For example, you might want Yao to play for the lakers!
