I had a roomate one time that was a huge Simpsons fan and he had a minature pincher. He named it Pinchy. That dog was crazy.

Back in the day, growing up, we also had a "Min Pin." He was the cutest dog ever, and I remember when we first got him, he basically fit in the palm of my hand. He was never supposed to get over 7 or 8 lbs, but I guess he got up to about 15 lbs with our feeding habits. Oops! Anyway, he was a great dog- unfortunately, he developed a bad case of mange (sp?), and the steroids eventually stopped working, so his skin condition kept getting worse. It was pretty sad to have to put him down. Probably my favorite pet we've ever had. Regardless, his name was "Speedy," basically shortened version of "Speedy Gonzalez." We knew very on that our puppy enjoyed running around, full-speed, non-stop with no regard for his own health or the well-being of anything in his way. "Speedy" definitely seemed to fit. I would go with: 1. Heidi- My grandparents had several German-sourced dogs (Dachsunds, Dobermans) that had this moniker. My female dachsund carries on the tradition today. 2. Eva- Ditto
My family got a Rottweiler/Lab mix when I was in 2nd grade. She was a baby, but so malnourished at the time (I forget where my Mom got her from, but the lady was shut down a couple of weeks later) that she could fit in the palm of my hand. 2nd grade. Remember, I was like 8. I realize puppies start small, but still. She was at least several weeks old, but all skin and bones, no hair. I don't understand how people treat animals in such ways. It didn't take her long to get well with a couple of shots and a proper diet, and now nearly 12 years later she is easily my favorite pet that I have ever had.

I also think that the pup looks like a "Sheeba", "Toodles", "Precious", "Suzy Q", "Katrina", "Koot", "Mini-D", "Dee", "Xanadu", "Lil'l T(ina)", "Waz(up)", "Taco", "Zina", "Deeba", "Rina", "Bee(yatch)", "Zoe", "Spunk", "Lady", "Wina", "Winnie". Hmm. Cute little pup.
Need to name it something really scary like Zeus or Thor or Titan or Bear. oh wait... that's right it's a girl... um... how about Hillary?
Good Rush reference! I guess you caught my "Xanadu" reference as well. LOL. My friend used to half two dogs which were mostly wolf. One was dark and the other white. They were named By-tor and Snowdog respectively. By-tor got a really bad case of the mainge(that skin disease...yuck) and had to be put down eventually. Snowdog lost a leg at the beach because the owner just let him do whatever and he got hit. So, he hobbled around on 3 legs for a long time in his old age.
