this is sweet, too bad for you Bullfan, i know you hate digital tvs and believe that we should have manual scoreboards and black and white tvs.
That's a big screen. Hopefully players don't get distracted looking at themselves while driving for a TD on that end of the field
Outside the Lines Nightly on ESPN actually had a rather interesting show on in-stadium jumbotrons and how players will look at themselves during a play to aid them either on defense or offense. The classic example is in Super Bowl XXXI a few years back when Desmond Howard ran a kickoff back for a touchdown and used the jumbotron to see that the defenders chasing him from behind weren't close enough to tackle him.
Yeah, I'll be in town for both the first two games. Gimme a shout as we get closer. I'm not sure if I'll come in Friday night or not. Pretty positive I am leaving town after both games, though.
You're right. It's not as if UT hasn't won a national championship in the last nine months or anything.
You're right...it helps compensate the fact that we had one of the worst jumbotrons for a major program. The last screen was tiny and the resolution was down right terrible. Do you actually have a problem with our new jumbotron or are you just joking around?
gucci888, believe it or not, some people are ticked about the jumbotron. a fellow poster on this board believes that it was a waste of money. he also had a 27inch tv in his large living room too. some people in this world dont care about the advancement of technology. its the same mentality that would have us on 14.4 modems. HDTV.. FOREVER!
