All boils down to (strong handed) leadership. We won championships with Hakeem leading the Rockets. We were hopeless when the burden of leadership fell on Rudy. We got back to winning with Jeff's dictatorship. We're falling apart with the burden resting on the players. Players Coach = hands off = players must keep themselves ready to go. McGrady doesn't lead. Yao isn't a leader (maybe he'll get angry enough one day). James and Francis don't respect leadership. We need leadership. Be it a new coach, or via trade. We won't win without one. Evan
... but you are immune to the economic downturn because you are the branch manager of a $300 million dollar bank branch, right? And, yes, tell the guard to watch out for Aaron Brooks in order to protect your staff. However, I would think you would want Brooks to open up an account at your branch so you can become the branch manager of a $301 million dollar bank branch.
I tend to agree on the coaching thing. The big story in the offseason wasn't so much the Adelman hiring but Doc Morey's flurry of talented acquisitions. Adelman's system would eventually have gotten credit for the "sure "turnaround but I was thinking to myself hell, give VAN GUNDY those 5 additional NBA talents to his current system and its almost a GUARANTEED 55 wins or more. And possible playoff advancement But those first round exits, ouch...someone had to take the fall and, thats just how it is in coaching
I DRIVE A DODGE STRATUS! EDIT: LOL mr. clutch scooped me pages back. Damn if that was not perfect though.
