Red and Silver with a few Black and White highlights. A Silver panel of rocket imagery continuing from shorts to jerseys could be intriguing-- on either white or red basics.

@tinman, I bet if you use more CAPS and a slightly larger font, people will finally start to take you seriously!

I like the ketchup and mustard with the basketball logo, too. That is my personal favorite and my first memories of team. I can’t say the original colors of the team were red and yellow; it’s just not true. One can’t change history because it doesn’t fit the argument. Look at the team in green and gold a couple of posts up and one will find 1/3 of the best players to ever be Rockets on that team. That era counts —> all history counts. Not sorry if it hurts your feelings.

I'd love to see a throwback SD Rockets night.

Put it up with the Colt 45's.

Yeah and it would highlight the team's history. Hopefully next year.

No one knew about the green and yellow without googling

    That scheme is irrelevant

Just because some don’t know our team’s history doesn’t mean others don’t.

The San Diego Rockets have nothing to do with the Houston Rockets, just like how Tennessee Titans have nothing to do with the Houston Oilers or Thunder and Sonics.

It’s so beautiful seeing those majestic banners

Then so cringe worthy looking down at the court below

Then why did you just associate the two then—> If they truly have nothing to do with one another?

A little short-sighted. Those roster of players moved with the franchise: Rudy T, Calvin Murphy, Stu Lantz and others.

"The Rockets were founded in 1967 in San Diego by Robert Breitbard, who paid an entry fee of US $1.75 million to join the NBA as an expansion team for the 1967 – 1968 NBA season." WOW.

Learn to read? I said they don't have anything to do with one another. Other people try call them the same thing. They are not.

I don't think it's short sighted. When you move a team to a different story, it is a new team. New stadium, new community, new fans, etc.
