let me see if I can slide in a decent post before i leave houston.

JayZ, yeah, I go to The Kitchen everytime I'm in town. It's nice; I like it Gourmet mag mentioned it. It is about the best Boulder has, but nowhere close to top Houston restaurants. It is like T'afia, but yet not close.

rimrocker, yeah, my goal is to buy when low, that's why I'm in a short lease. I'm going to get spoiled here though, in a part of town i can't afford. I think I need to meet a doctor or sumpin. I'm trying to explain this to my dog. She needs to act a lot more cute around women...but she's such a dog.

hey, so for final apologies, I got to say that I did feel somewhat hurt by some posts and originally felt the need to explain everything from 2000 when Clutch called me to ask for my help with hosting the bbs and on to our big argument in 2002. I don't really want to do that though. Most of that is between Clutch and I. However I did promise Clutch an explanation about passwords.

When I hosted the bbs with two other very important applications, I did regular backups of everything and downloaded them to my machine. I did that because this bbs locked the server on a regular basis and I had two more important applications running on the server than this bbs. I had, and maybe still have (on a machine I haven't turned on for 5 years) everyone's password from the old system. I mean, I backed up everything on my server so all the applications (including my wife's and spamgourmet.com's) could recover from system failure. I had no need to ever nefariously grab passwords, because I already had them. I mean, I had several copies of them--five at any given time...one per week and one of the whole current last month. But as Clutch said, after a certain upgrade of his, passwords were MD5'd....meaning no one can get the passwords....Well maybe, but if you could crack MD5s why would you fart around with this site?

    Everyone is safe.

I do not even know if I still have my backups on my packratted old machine. maybe maybe no. I don't even know if that machine turns on anymore.

I'm saying this in an attempt to assure everyone that there is no system breach from my end. It is against my professional ethics to use backups criminally. it would destroy my career.

Basically everything Clutch says is accurate. He has every right to be suspicious of me and I knew that when I made my post in "oeilpere's" thread. I'm just such an idiot for making that post. Clutch and I and jqh1 use to hunt down people who hacked into things or farted around. There are some fun stories to tell, but the bottomline is that Clutch was so cool about all this oeilpere stuff and I wasn't. I acted in a way the pissed off Clutch. I acted without thinking about what it meant to Clutch. In my only defense, I didn't get his original email to me to ask about who made the post until 4 days after the fact.

    I felt like sh.t.

I just want to be a regular poster again like I was before 2000 when Clutch called me to admin the bbs.
I want to be able to make mistakes in posting and just be regarding as a stupid poster.

I might have had the ability to make that oeilpere post, but i never would. I, having talked to pops about his health, think it is simply wrong for an imposter to do such a thing. I hope it is pops, but I seriously doubt it is from my knowledge. it just pisses me off. I'm sorry I made my posts to smoke out the imposter. I was stupid.

bottomline: I sure wish Clutch would put me in his "Apology Accepted" signature.
