Again, perhaps or perhaps not. We can't read his mind, so we'll never know for sure unless he clarifies his statement. But based on his actual statement, the actual words that came out of his mouth, he can go suck a bag of d!(ks.
Yeah it's a little ridiculous at times it seems...and often I get the feeling that it's a little one-sided. I hate the Mavs with a passion to be sure, and I have an on-again/off-again relationship with the Cowboys, but the Rangers have been pretty non-existent to me for like, ever. I am happy for them and their fans though. Their situation right now is not unlike the Astros back in '04 and '05. That they've had so little success in the playoffs, well I'm glad they're finally breaking through. I don't want them to bring the first WS Championship to Texas though.
He did mean Texas Rangers history. Get over it. It's like Mark Ingram saying it's great I won a Heisman. It's never happened in Alabama history. He would be meaning the Tide, not dissing Auburn and Bo Jackson.
oh, you're right in the grand scheme of things. but it *has* happened in Texas. in a Texas city that actually matters. roll your eyes at that.
This rangers team is pretty easy to root for theyve been building the team the right way and they have Nolan Ryan. I cant believe anybody would root for the Yankees over the Rangers just for the whole Dallas thing. I hope they win the whole thing most range fans were rooting for the astros 5 years ago so Ill do the same.....
Watching Ryan celebrate with the Rangers makes my blood boil and it's not a Dallas/Houston thing...it's a Astros/Ryan thing. Twice, this organization has messed with the man and it has cost us twice. I wonder what might have happened if Ryan had been given Tal's position with the Stros and/or Hunsicker had kept his GM position with the team, where might we be now? Maybe same place or we may have already rebuilt...who knows. Oh I am rooting for the Yanks because of Berkman and truth be told...I am getting a bit tired of hearing about Josh and his "comeback"...hats off to the guy for battling his demons but enough already.
i have enough friends in dallas to make sure i'll never root for a dallas team in the playoffs. sorry.
Are you psychic? Can you read his mind? If that's what he meant, he should have said that. But he didn't. He said what he said, and he can go suck a bag of d!(ks.
I can tell you that the 'Stro's had plenty of people rooting for them up here during they're World Series run. The thing about the Rangers/'Stros..nobody really sees it as a rivalry. I know the Silver Boot thing now is trying to stir one up, but Rangers fans generally have no ill will towards the Astro's at all. I'll always root for the Rangers..unless they're playing my beloved Astros.
and honestly, outside of mm, i don't know of anyone out of my friends who are baseball fans who have a hatred for the rangers. i'm certainly rooting for them.
I've in the media since 2006. So yes, I know what he meant. Texas history meant Texas Rangers history. Get over it and move on.
yes you are. this and your Katy/Stratford volleyball texts have put a serious strain on our friendship. i'm reporting this post.
Unless your name is Josh Hamilton, no you don't. All you have is your interpretation of what he said. I'm going off of the actual words that came from him. So Houston is not in Texas? Got it. How 'bout this: no. He can suck a bag of d!(ks.
Everyone that thinks he is taking a shot at the Astros need to get back in school and learn some reading comprehension.... The article is clearly talking about just Texas Rangers history "It was the first playoff series victory in the 50-season history of the Washington/Texas franchise." ....followed by Hamilton's statement. Way to take his statement completely out of context.
...mountain... molehill. Like others have said, he was almost surely referring to the Rangers and meant nothing more. If it weren't for Berkman, I'd be 100% pulling for the Rangers. Not because I like the Rangers but because I hate the Yankees and what they represent.
