I was pissed about Worrell saying he was a volleyball player whenever Bud got the ball, while he was playin a frigging BASKTBALL. Guess I was wrong.
Because it was a "curious" fact that he mentioned EVERY, and I really mean EVERY SINGLE game. All of them.
Im not really hating on this idea. If money wasnt a big deal I could see why someone would prefer that hang out at the beach over the gym.
the funny thing is he wouldn't even have played pro-beach if he chose volleyball over basketball out of high school. He would have been recruited to play indoor volleyball and possibly make the national team to play in the Olympics. The highest level of volleyball is indoor. Beach, even at the highest level requires less raw athleticism.
Good luck to him! Much better to see stories like that, than the usual when ex- players after a few years end up obese, bankrupt or even worse, end up in our tv as "analysts" babbling rubbish.
