Imagine coming off a major injury and teams taking a wait and see on doubling yao. So now you have a guy standing around the line and the opposition staying close enough to contest his shot. So what do you have now? A stagnation taken back to the van gundy era.

Leeb he moves very well off the ball, not as good as cbud but more than anyone else on the team.

I think he is NBA ready but does the team ?

Check out his wingspan and standing reach: http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-pre...age=&year=2008&sort2=DESC&draft=0&pos=0&sort=

Those measurements are closer to that of a SF and even some SGs.

Derrick Rose, Eric Gordon and George Hill have the same or greater wingspan.

His standing reach is well below everybody in his height range.

Landry has similar numbers but he is a far better athlete and he's also not a very good overall rebounder or defender. If you read those DraftExpress pieces, they talk about Leunen being a subpar athlete. Undersized and underathletic isn't a good mix for the PF spot. He has a decent build and seemed to have good work ethic but it seems like he'd struggle to play SF (due to lack of speed, athleticism) or PF (lack of length, athleticism) at the NBA level.

It would be nice to see what he can do, but I am pretty sure that we will not see him in the NBA, nothing against him, but when you are undersized or ether you improve greatly every year and show something specially or GM´s will not even look at you, but it would be cool to see what he can REALLY do

People bash Anderson, I am pretty happy to see what he has as a player, not much, but at least we didn´t waist 10M on him, In a season that even if you made the playoffs you would not win nothing

Give the man a chance in the summer league and take conclusions from there

    PEACE

Why not bring back a proven Rockets legend to stretch the defense? This guy won a game for us in his first stint here.

I more or less agree - let's see what he does in Summer League. I know he was decent last time; let's see how much he's improved. If he's only improved enough to barely make the team, I'm not excited.

Good luck, Marty; show us something!

PASS!!! He is Steve Novak 2.0. This is a horrible idea.

Are you not aware that Horry was a defensive presence also? Maarty would get killed on the defensive end. Why would we waste money on this kid?

Bring him for summer league and see what he can do... It's nice to see those kind of players prove themselves that they have place in the league...

When we drafted him, I thought he was a little more mobile than Steve Novak while a little less accurate as a shooter. I haven't watched him since. I doubt that many people on this board have either. So, I trust Morey's scouting staff more than DD's or anyone's around here.

I don't know DD, do they? They have scouts, you have Italian League stats and Youtube.

Or perhaps a reasonable and objective crowd?

I imagine that few people would have a bias against or for the guy.

don't know much of him recently but i do know of another undersized player from Oregon who wasn't very popular on this board. he seems to have turned out okay.

With the exception our starting Center the Rockets are very undersized, we need taller players. :p
