ugh the guy lives in Germany. Just PM me when your in Houston and you feel like testing your strength.
He posted a short video of some guy telling you that you are dumb and then you wanted to fight, how is that racist? BTW. What makes you think that you won't be the one who gets b****slapped?
If you try to pick fights with people who have a different viewpoint than you do (ie: Israel/Palestine), you don't belong in this forum. Grow up or stop posting in here.
Beat LA, you're not helping your cause. How did a thread that started out with a message of goodwill degenerate into this? We've got a poster threatening to beat up another poster over Palestine Israel and we've got some Muslim posters battling it out over religious interpretations.
Have you seen his other posts? The guy is racist. If you don't see that than you are too. I would dominate him. Palestine should be allowed to compete in sports, the Olympics, and welcomed into the world as a country of its own.
He hates Muslims, there is nothing 'racist' about that. He's said some horrible things under his Sir Charles Jackie moniker, but there are millions of people like him on the internet, you want to challenge each of them to a fight? Not very mature at all.....its beyond your control, just ignore the dude if you don't like him, it only makes you look silly by asking for a fight. Actually you help him make his point that Muslims are a bunch of violent people, keep up the good work
50 years ago, he would hate Asians (maybe he does). Before that, he would be spewing the n word in every sentence. It's unacceptable.
Most of your post is correct, except the "hates Muslims" part. I don't hate Muslims. Being critical of some things and questioning them doesn't equate to hating the people. In fact, as you said, if anything, this thread in fact is very telling, even though I did not really use the opportunity to extrapolate from BEAT LA's behavior and make generalized statements based on it.
1) I don't hate a race, or a religion. 2) Muslims (since you insinuate that I hate them) are not a race. 3) You are keeping this thread entertaining, thank you for that.
You are basically repeating what I am saying with your own twist in it. I said you don't have to follow ONE particular school of thought, but you can as long as you don't reject the other ones. If you don't wish to follow a particular one, then obviously you have to take answers from what one of them said in matters that are ambiguous or requires a high level of knowledge of the Quran and Sunnah. I also added that you can just talk to a local imam/sheikh who most likely will derive his answer from one of the schools. Let me quote you: To which I said: So, what are you saying exactly? Were the Ash'ari's philosophers of Islam or no? Becaus everywhere I've read, al-Ash'ari was always philosophalyzing (if I may) meanings and interpretations of things. Maybe it is considered one of the Aqeedah's but it deviated from the one true one (Athari, which btw, all four Imam's were) because he would try to find different meaning in things. And according to you, if every Sunni MUST follow one of the Imam's, then by default they belong to only one Aqeedah so how can they associate with any of the other ones? To understand ahadith you need to go into their tafseer, you can't just read them yourself, not being a scholar of any sort or have enough knowledge, and just come up with conclusions about them. There is a reason these are Sahih hadith, the people who compiled them would travel across the lands just to get one link of narration correct. What the hadith means is that there were that many Jewish sects, and then there were more Christian sects, and there will be even more Muslim sects. I'm guessing you read these hadith bare without any tafseer and that's why you don't believe in them. Because according to you, there are inconsistencies. Honestly, if you read the Quran without it's tafseer, there can be many inconsistencies especially since it isn't laid out chronologically. Aren't sects, groups, and parts synonymous?? Even if not, maybe you should read the whole article where you got those two hadith from (http://www.sydneymuslimyouth.com/smyforum/showthread.php?t=6934)
How about every time from now on you decide to criticize Islam in something or question them, you also say one thing you like, find tolerant, or even something that doesn't seem to bother you about it? Because it obviously feels like you hate them. Which doesn't really make a difference but just to see if you can back up what you said.
This is an interesting demand. Interesting as in what it says about Muslims' tolerance of criticism, if that attitude is representative of other Muslims.
Unacceptable? LOL, there will always be hateful people in this world, you need to accept that. I don't really care how you categorize your feelings towards Muslims, its just clear that your feelings towards this group of people is negative. There are other posters here who are critical of Muslims as well, but they are at least respectful about it, you are not. I'm sure half the board who participate in the D&D would attest to these "critical" feelings as leaning towards hate. IMHO. Then again, you have 4 green rep points beside your moniker, I'm guessing many here have feelings similar to yours but are unwilling to share like you. To that I give you credit, you speak your mind....
It's not a demand, it was a suggestion. Way to try to put words in my mouth. I just wanted to see if you were man enough to back up what you said. Because you say you don't hate Muslims, but it sure seems like you do. By your posts, it definitely seems like you know nothing more about Muslims than what you read about us on cnn.com or foxnews.com. Come on, prove me wrong.
It is silly to suggest that for everything critical one has to say, one would have to say something positive. I have said many critical things about the pope, about the Utah Jazz, about many things. I'll say things as I see them, no need to "balance it out" to be PC. If I see something positive, I say it as well. In fact, I complimented the guys who spoke out in the video basso posted in this thread. Of course, you are not mentioning that, or you might not have noticed.
