He's certainly a better offensive player than Kobe ever was...

I agree, but people won’t say that...Harden makes a lot of big defensive plays that are overlooked. I think eventually the causal fans (like the media) will see how improved he is after another year or so...

Oh I agree. He’s an elite post defender and an above average perimeter defender. Narratives tho

It's damn jaw-dropping that Harden is having the MOST EFFICIENT season of his with the Rockets, busting 35.7 points and 8.5 assists on the league while being top 5 in steals.

Harden is incomparably more efficient than Kobe. That being said, that dude has 5 rings and it's hard to make an argument for Harden over him with that skyscraper of a legacy casting that ever lasting shadow.

Kobe didn't have to face a bunch of spineless cowards that have too big of an ego to beat rival competition. I think Kobe was a monster defensively though. Harden cant touch him on that front but offensively Harden is unmatched. I cant believe The Dream does not get more love from outside Houston fans either. He was the best defensive and offensive center to ever play the game. Must just be a Hate Houston thing. We know what the real is though and f@#$ everybody else.

Harden seems to elevate his team better than Kobe ever did. When Kobe was going crazy scoring, it was because he was in pure chucking mode. Just completely shameless. Harden mostly feels like he's taking smart shots that he can make and creating open shots for everyone else.

Then on NBA radio this morning it was the total opposite. Harden has become a master at fooling the refs and getting calls, but we know that won't work come playoff time.

Drexler once said he was better than Jordan but Jordan shot more...

...and that's why Bullard is a better commentator

    you know what?

just listening to this, and the fact that I cannot get over not getting KD in his last FA, i get this feeling that Harden is doing this just to **** with KD's head.

Harden is putting himself in the conversation among the greatest to ever play statistically, and is winning with him at the helm of literally everything, with most of the talent and salary sitting on the bench. He is carrying a team of bench-warmers and maybe I can count Rivers and PJ as starting-caliber players but that's it.

KD is playing with 4 perennial all-stars on the starting line-up, and NOBODY likes him. I don't care if he dropped 30 in a game, why should I give a ****? Why is this guy even in the conversation for the top-3? Is he still the 2nd best player in the league with this amount of disrespect he brought on himself?

In any case, **** KD. I don't know why I felt the need to write that, but **** it, he deserves it.

Bill Simons and Zach Lowe actually know what they are talking about. This is clearly a historic season for Harden. He raised his play to a historic level after winning the MVP. This itself is mind boggling.

One day Harden will have a quiet 60 point game.
