Double ditto from me as well, great show and I really enjoyed this episode. For those of you bothered by the lack of forward momentum, you should try watching Lost, that show has been moving at a turtle going up hills pace, Heros seems like it's moving fast as hell when I compare it to that
Great show. Hope he saves the cutie waitress. Nice call by a previous poster (too lazy to search) who guessed that the Dad isnt the bad guy.
I'm pretty sure he saves her, because they showed the picture at the end of him at her party. She said earlier in the episode that she received the Japanese book for her birthday a week before. Then we see him in the picture. I think he goes back in time and gives her the book. Plus she is supposed to be a recurring character and his love interest. The problem is he wanted to go back 1 day but ended up going back further. I read an interview with the creator and he said that in one of the next couple of episodes we will explore Hiro's power and get a better understanding of what he can and can't do with his time shifting. Continuation of my earlier speculations: Spoiler I also think we are still going to get the death of Jackie in the next couple of weeks. It sure looks like the paintings of Claire alive have a little different look than the one were she is dead. There are some variants in the hair and face that make it look like it could be a different person.
Another great episode !! Spoiler I loved how they showed the picture of the waitress, and then they showed it again and Hiro was in there with a "what am I doing here" look. He went too far back !! Also, they keep introducing more and more characters, and now the young Indian doctor is having dreams about real life situations. Also, they guy who can read minds.....busting his wife...loved it. DD
Tatoo meanings Spoiler S= Sylar's team, H= Hiro's team. Super-villain and Heroes. Also, whoever called it, I think the other cheerleader is going to get it. As for the guy in the bar, i think one of his powers is invisibility As for Horn Rimmed Glasses guy, lets go into a little comic book symbolism. When someone has some type of thing over their eyes, be it glasses, an eyepatch (think nick fury) it means they have a different way of seeing the world, although not necessarily evil, it usually means they are more focused on ends justifying the means, so a little bit of fury and magneto in there.
Spoiler wow...good call, I didn't think of that...I can't believe that means nikki is evil though, I figured she'd be a good guy...go figure. I don't know about the glasses so much but that is an interesting take, I don't really see the correlation between glasses and magneto that also doesn't explain why he killed mohinder's dad...which I'm fairly certain was him...it was pretty brutal too.
Spoiler From the dream sequence, it looked to me as though Sylar killed Mohinder's dad. Or did the watch belong to Mr. Bennett (HRG)??
I love this show. I haven't read the graphic novels yet but how well do they tie in to the show? Is it necessary? Do they give more clues?
Still watching, still liking, but still wanting more answers, not less. Introducing more characters, now?? Don't get me wrong, radiation cave-man guy is pretty sweet, but how many characters, storylines, plots, etc. can we have?
big battle at the end. It wouldn't be a comic book w/o a big ass battle. Though so far it seems to be more good guys than bad.
Spoiler If you noticed earlier in the episode, in the diner with Ando and Hiro, Sylar is wearing the same watch, just broken...so methinks it was Sylar
Great call! Last nites show was a great set up to what looks to be a major battle next week. HRG man doesn't quite look like a bad guy in this episode, more like a very concerned father.
I see him as kind of a tweener. A lot of what he revealed about his job last night makes him look like the bad guy but with a soft side for his daughter. He is one of those characters that is a government agent that will do whatever is needed to make sure his job is done, even if it means killing people. He's pretty complex in the sense that he follows, captures and tracks the SG's, but is torn with having his daughter be one. I think we'll eventually see where his allegiance lies because I think a situation will arise that pits Claire against the principals of his job. He'll have to choose between her and his work. I am surprised that the aspects of his job have not been discussed much here. I think he revealed a pretty good bit of info last night. I especially thought that the revelation that he had been doing his job for at least 14 years was interesting. How long has the government been tracking SG's, and how long have they been around. I think this could open up the possibility of having several back stories chronicled, the way comic books like to do. Maybe even an episode chronicling the history of the OWOI, and HRG's role there.
