I've looked all around the net and I'm surprised that nobody caught the Rain Man escalator/suit reference with Hiro.. IMO every show is better than the last and I'm starting to like this show more than Lost..
This BBS is GREAT!!!! So far I've gotten into 2 shows I would have never known about- Heroes and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Both top notch shows. Well done everyone.
Yeah I caught it and laughed about it. Also got a kick out of them getting booted out of the Montecito (NBC reference). Spoiler Future Hiro rocks. Hope we see more of him.

I finally watched the whole show on DVR tonight......man.... Spoiler I love it, but I get a little upset that they tell us more at the beginning of the show that we wouldn't know. Like that the man in the bar was the guy who knocked out the cop, how would we know that? Great show !! DD
Spoiler I thought it was obvious because when he was glancing around and reading minds, he seemed ok but when he got to that guy, everything went silent and that guy stared at him in an ominous way and then he suddenly collapsed.
Spoiler So is that guy Sylar (sp?) or is it the Cheerleaders father that is Sylar? Also, when the answer is "Save the cheerleader, save the world" does that mean save her from the dark side because she is going sort of evil by hurting the QB?" DD
Is there anywhere to download the episodes? I have some friends in England that want to watch the show, but it is not on there. DD
Damn, future Hiro was totally unexpected. Spoiler his perfect English was great too. i thought he would have a very strong accent. i think that's what made him even cooler.
The show is good, but I find that the powers are unbalanced: Spoiler One girl can regenerate. Ok, that's cool. One girl's power is her schizophrenia. Is that really a power??? One guy's power is flying. Ok, that's cool too. One guy's power is his painting the future. Fine. .. But then one guy's power is that he can STOP time or even go into the future or past. This just seems way over the top. He's like omnipotent now. Does he even need the rest of the guys. He can basically handle any disaster by himself - stop time or go back into the past and fix it.
What a great show tonight. Spoiler Save the Cheerleader? From who, I wonder? Her father? Also, is the Dr. Jeckle women's husband the mind cleaner? I didn't get a good look at him. My bet though is that she has been committing the murders all along and her husband took the fall for it. Hiro gets better and better, and you guys were right about the younger brother assuming the powers of the others..... Just a great show. DD
Pretty good episode. Spoiler According to the preview for next week's episode, DL, Nikki's husband, can phase shift through matter, Kitty Pryde-style! (He apparently does not have the power to teleport, as I previously mentioned.) Neat! Regarding your question, DaDa, Nikki's husband is not the same guy who's with Claire's father.
DD, Thanks for starting the thread. I had only caught part of the first episode and wasn't too impressed, but the more I watch the more I like it.
A lot of Heroes is influenced by Straczynski's Rising Stars, no big surprise since Jeph Loeb (one of the producers) is one of his friends. I wouldn't be surprised if Spoiler whenever one of them dies, their powers get stronger (highlander style). This is Sylar's motivation for killing.
